 | depicks (0) 12/26/2005 | My wife had regular oil changes done to her 1995 Explorer at a local Ford dealership. They used 5W-20. After 230,000 miles, we replaced the timing chain and my son is now driving it. Never had any problems with the engine as a result of oil failure. The key is changing the oil regularly. I gave the oil a 4 star rating as I don't get that excited about motor oil. :)

 | 123qwe (0) 11/08/2005 | I have had this oil once in my car and it was terible. After about 2800 miles the oil was so dirty it was hard to believe, this is just a cheap oil that Ford dealerships across the country use because it is cheap.

 | Flick01 (71) 02/04/2005 | This was more important back in the 1950s and 60s when there was more reconstituted and lesser quality oils on the market. Today many oils are made by the same manufacturer and in the same plants, they're simply put in bottles with different labels. If you don't have a loyalty to any particular brand then all you need to know is that the oil you choose meets the API rating for your engine, although some turbo cars require an oil specifically formulated for vehicles equipped with turbochargers. Regardless of what make or model car you drive, if there is any doubt about quality or proper fit, you can never go wrong using the manufacturer's oil and filters.

 | DickWeener (0) 02/01/2004 | Oil is oil in my opinion.....I have no reason to ever buy Motorcraft however, Ford makes this stuff and I am not into anything made by Ford, they could probably even mess oil up if givin the chance..... I am kinda just joking, I'm sure it is as good as any, as long as you change your oil every 3000 miles your doing ok.
