Yes, it does not work with a Mac. But no software works on a Mac first, unfortunately. There.com is working on a Mac version, fyi, and you can get on a list to have them inform you when it's available. Now, for There. I went on knowing that it is a service or community and not necessarily a game. I was ecstatic to meet people all over the world. I had fun riding hoverboards, boats, playing paintball, and just chatting in general. It's much better than the Sims Online, as you don't have responsibilites to tend to with your avitar. The emotions that you can use (including dancing, facial expressions, etc.) are numerous and growing. There are some problems regarding fair practices within the game, and that's something that is still worthwhile to find out for yourself. It's been a great ride so far for me and I'd suggest it to any friend. Biggest downside? ADDICTIVE!

OMG!!! If you do not have this...GET IT!!! It is the best thing you could possibly do with a computer. Not just chat, but chat in a virtual world. You make your own avatar (character) and travel the land while chatting (with talk bubbles) on the way. Excellent!!!
