Expensive for one revolution, yet totally worth it! Give you some of the best views of the city, especially if you go at night and it is clear. Lucky for us, it was! Big Ben and Parliament will lite up the sky and the vibrant city comes to life.

I loved the eye, and didn't feel like it was a tourist trap. I would advise one to go at night and see the bright lights of London. I would also advise buying your ticket online as it saved us a few dollars and a line! The eye lines move fast, but the ride is about 30 minutes long. Its a great way to see the skylines of my favorite city!

London Eye

I've heard stories of horrendous queues and a long wait to get on the London Eye so I don't know if we were just lucky because although we had pre-booked our tickets for 6pm we arrived late at 7:40pm they let us board the next available flight and the queue was almost non-existant (only about 20 people in front of us) so we boarded in under 10 mins! I was a bit concerned because I am normally afraid of heights but I didn't have any problems whatsoever and the flight was wonderful experience with stunning views of the city and beyond. The Eye is a very solid structure that doesn't sway or shake and it rotates so slowly that you can sometimes be forgiven for thinking that it's not moving at all, the only giveaway being the gradual increase in height. I would definately recommend it to anyone.

Enjoyed the eye. We went at night...what a view it was! Oddly enough...we had no lineup whatsoever..not for tickets and not to get on it. I was prepared to back out due to a long line up. But to my dismay there was none....well about 6 people waiting to get on( musta got there at the right time). I have a fear of hieghts, but this ride didn't bother me in the least! It goes very slow( takes about 30-40minutes for one rotation.) and you cannot feel the cab you are in shake or move ( at least we didn't). I reccomend the eye on a clear night.

Overpriced but an excellent way to see London by sight. I would say it is worth taking a decent camera with you, for those pics due to the suns glare!! I have been on it 4 times (due to family visits from the US!!!) The wait is usually long but worth it!!!

Be prepared for a long wait if you go, but the view from the top is spectacular. I would advise buying one of the guides that they sell that will show you what you are seeing, based on where you are standing. It helps immensely. If you like ferris wheels, you'll love this!!!

I was born in the small hospital just behind this attraction...I must say it is placed in a very strange place, obscuring the view of the Houses of Parliament as seen from the Festival Hall. I would have put it in front of the Tate Gallery or somewhere near Battersea Park, but it is a fine monument and sums up modern London - no, not going round in circles...!

I went on the London Eye a while ago and it was absolutely fantastic. The View (on a clear day) is absolutely amazing. The ride lasts for about 35 minutes and costs about 11.50. It has been a huge tourist attraction and it is definately worth seeing when you are over here.
