07/02/2008 | My first year smoking these were my regulars. What a horrible choice that was. Menthol all the time will just start to taste like shit after a while. Once I started smoking non-menthol's (real cigarettes) more often, I realized cigarettes aren't supposed to feel fresh and minty,but that they are supposed to taste rich and flavorful.
I will admit though, because these were my first and I smoked them for so long, I do get cravings for them time to time.

06/24/2008 | I prefer 100's over regulars, although a ot of people critisize me over it though. I think the taste is amazing, and the menthol isn't as horrible as cheaper menthol brands. They are said to be worse than regular cigarettes, but when you think about it, smoking by itself is bad, and the good part is you can't chain smoke 100's, and they leave you wanting another much longer than marlboros.

06/14/2008 | newport 100s...these are the cigarettes I started out on. I didn't know they were some of the most..*ahem*.."potent" cigs out there. I became addicted shortly and switched up to a slew of other brands to try them all out....but every once in awhile, I go to the gas station and get me a pack of newport 100s. The smell and taste of these cigarettes brings back so many memories of the summer of 07, my first months of smoking. I felt like such a "bad kid" when I smoked them, and now, a year later, even the box design fires off those little memory-feelings in my brain. Newport 100s have a small place in my heart for that reason.

He silently thanked the cigarette company for being thoughtful enough about his health to include a filter to protect him. So he lit up another. This time he didn't exhale the squeaky-clean filtered smoke, but just let it nestle in his lungs, filling his body with that good menthol flavor. Some more smokers knocked on his door and they came in and all started smoking along with him. "How wonderful it is that we're all smoking," he thought. Everyone smoked and smoked and after they smoked they all talked about smoking and how nice it was that they were all smokers and then they smoked some more. Smoke, smoke, smoke, they all sang "Smoke That Cigarette" and "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes". Then Smokers smoked one more cigarette and left him alone in his easy chair about to relax and enjoy a nice quiet smoke. And then his lips fell off..

03/07/2008 | If this were the only cig on earth, I would certainly not be smoking. Harsh smoke that seems to contain a lot more sticky stuff, and despite the bug-killing nicotine level, the rush is unwholesome and proceeded by a headache.

12/31/2007 | Around here we call them N*ggerports, they have a horrible menthol taste, if you can even taste that over the fiberglass; good for getting yourself sick. Pass on these.

09/19/2007 | Best cig's on the market...price went up, but in detroit you can still get them 5 bucks a pack...or my personal favorite..buy 2 get 1 free :) what a great deal..the first cigarette out of a brand new pack is simply the freshest menthol cigarette you can get for your money...i used to smoke the regulars, but switched to the 100's because the shorts left me craving for more after each smoke...the 100's are the same price and sooo tasty...in fact, im all this talk about smoking makes me want one right now...simply wonderful

07/04/2007 | Newport 100's are a wonderful, strong cigarette that fulfills you every time. Even after 8 years, these still satisfy the best, and don't leave you "craving" another for a while. The after-smell is actually more pleasant than others and my wife enjoys these the most, too.

04/29/2007 | I give Newport 100's a 5 star rating, they are totally the best smoke out there and well worth the money. The taste is smooth, and they go down like water, not nearly has harsh as other menthol's I have smoked, thick exhales also, plus they burn longer than most other brands. Keep one thing in mind when choosing Newport makes sure you don't smoke the shorts, the 100's are far better taste wise.

12/18/2006 | Mixed feelings on this one...I actually found inhaling directly to be less harsh than sucking the smoke into my mouch and then inhaling, whether through my nose or mouth. And the buzz is just intense, sometimes nauseous. Your mileage may vary.

07/02/2006 | The 100mm cigarettes are made from the same tobacco as the 85mm ones. The filters are a bit longer and so is the portion you smoke. If you use common sense, you will find that the smoke from a 100mm cigarette is actually LESS harsh than an 85mm one. Simply put, the smoke has to pass through a longer tube of tobacco that acts as a filter and the actual filter itself is longer!!! I actually prefer the 85's but am happy to smoke ANY Newport cigarette.
