Dumbo -eared scion of a dynasty that, while it did admittedly produce some extremely notable monarchs over the years, generally plundered, oppressed, and brutalized not only it's neighbors, not only far- off countries, but even its own people for centuries.The ordinary people are fine, it's their leaders that are so rotten historically. Like all examples of this form of government, he's an outdated relic that serves no purpose in the modern world, and this whole crew, in large part, stands for many dark chapters in the history of mankind.

I know he's as ugly as a mud fence, but I've always kind of liked this guy. When I was in junior high school, a girl flirted with me once and told me I looked like Prince Charles. I had no idea what he looked like, so was flattered to be compared with a prince (it wasn't often that a girl as attractive as she was would act interested in me). I did look up a picture of him at that point. Back then, he didn't look as homely as he does now. But then, neither did I.

I don't think its fair to give Charles a horrible rating considering past monarchs who have ruled England. Consider all the political intrigue, scandal, murder, and autocratic tendencies of past kings, and you'll see that Charles comes up very short. Seems like a person with some emotional problems, not too bright either, a little weak. But this isn't the first time Britain has had such a monarch, in fact the majority have been the same way. He does try at least with humanitarian efforts and at least he's more earnest than others in the same position.

Loyalty and duty are not his credo. By the time the Queen moves on he will be really too old and he should quietly pass on the successon to Prince William.

Diana was just brought in by the royal family to procreate with the enormously horse-faced and inbreed Charles. She did her duty and then was disposed of. There is historical precedent for this kind of thing of course. It was said that Catherine, The Great, was brought into the Russian royal family for the same reasons, but she was wise enough to realize it, and, according to some historians, killed her husband and took the throne from him. I wonder if in today's world Diana could have gotten away with such a thing? Pretty farfetched, wouldn't you say? Back to the topic, Prince Charles is getting married on Saturday to his lifelong love to the consternation of many Britishers. Everything is working against the wedding from even taking place: the Pope's death which postponed it to this Saturday, security breaches like that guy who drove to the castle with a box with the BOMB on it, along with everthing else! What next? We'll have to wait and see. And, as for those souvenirs with the loving couple's faces on them: YEECH! NO THANKS!:P

What can you say, he's an ordinary looking guy who likes to hang out in the woods, fish, paint and ride around hitting little balls with a stick and has an undying thing for a woman who looks much like the ponies he uses to do the latter. I appreciate his appreciation for historic architecture and his desire to preserve it. But, I feel that his finest accomplishment has been to produce his two sons who, I hope, will have a chance of having a happier life than he seems to have had so far. (The tampon thing really WAS weird - but have you ever seen such a ready-made SNL sketch in your entire life?)

Pretty damn nice guy? You may a moderator, but you sure aren't moderate. Imagine, (God forbid), you were in a relationship with this guy, and then all of a sudden, you find out that this so-called Prince Charming winds up being blatantly unfaithful behind your back? Well, that's what an average bum is. I'm giving him a poor rating not because he's supposed to marry someone suitable, but because he needs to be faithful in order to be a suitable husband. After all the dirt he's rifled himself through, most anyone would argue he's made himself unsuitable for marriage, and even more importantly...unsuitable for becoming King. --Charles is quite simply put...a vile thug. He treated Diana like a step-child. He gets 1/2 a star out of me..because...truthfully..she let him. When she finally came to her senses, she died a few months later. She was a great person who was so in touch with us commoners. Any humanity Charles had, he got if from her. She is missed. He is a leech on the butt of the peoples of England. I think they need to burn him off! Had the audacity to rail aginst people who have gained much without hard work. The doofus didn't even know he was talking about himself. Prince Charles has brought disgrace and embarrassment to the Monarchy. He obviously is not cut out to be King, and I hope that when Queen Elizabeth dies, the crown passes to Prince William. Not only does Prince Charles lack class, he lacks taste. How could anyone prefer that horse-faced, chain-smoking Camilla whatever her name is to the beautiful Diana?

Oh come on! You can hardly have a go a Charles about his marriage to Diana considering its a tradition with royalty that they only marry people who are 'suitable' for them, its hardly ever through love and they are very lucky if it does end happily ever after. Put aside the Diana situation, Charles actually does seem down-to-earth, helps out millions of people with The Princes Trust and doesn't seem to mind if he looks silly (he once came to London in the less privledged sectors and tried doing some proper DJing) He has done a very good job of raising his two sons and trying to shield them away from the media. Overall I would say that he is a pretty damn nice guy.

After the way Prince Charles treated Princess Diana, how can any of us ever think of him as good. I do believe he has done HIS best to be a good father to his sons, but in the court of public opinion how can he ever be thought of as good. You can make any non-abusive marriage work especially with all the resources they had.
