I think he has quite a bit of his mother in him, thankfully. He'll be a great asset to his nation if he rules someday.

A spoiled rotten scion of the miserable Hanoverian Dynasty. Neither of his parents was the brightest bulb on the planet, so we can hope for future peccadilloes, from this future monarch, I'm sure. If he would follow the exploits of Kings George I, II, IV and King William IV, Edward VII, and even George V, who had the old zipper going down problem, we would have endless hours of good family entertainment! I always am amazed at the star worshippers who follow the "exploits" of this rather unattractive and unremarkable family. We are lucky that our Constitution guarantees a republican form of government. The crypto-royalists would bring back the king if they had half the chance.

I see he is looking increasingly like his ugly uncle Prince Andrew with the horse looks of the royal family instead of his far better looking mother. Poor bugger. For sport this character likes to kill. Another neanderthal on the throne ... no change there then.

I think Princess Diana would be very proud of both of her boys. They seem to be doing very well for themselves.

Has potential to be a good monarch and restore some credibility to the house of Windsor. Seems reasonably intelligent and willing to take part in public life. My sense of it is that he will probably be more willing to modernize the British monarchy. Truth of the matter is that the UK no longer has a massive empire that can support such a top-heavy social hierarchy. Unlike many others, I don't believe that the monarchy should be scrapped. Britain has a parliamentary system where the Prime Minister function s as the Head of Government but the monarch is the Head of State, which is a titular function. In other parliamentary states like Germany and Israel, the Head of State is an elected President. Scrapping the monarchy isn't really necessary and in the case of Britain, it serves as a link to the past which is important for them. Additionally, they serve as a check against infighting within the political establishment. People look for the royals to rise above the fray and offer a broad unifying vision for the country. Sometimes they fail at the task, Elizabeth II many times hasn't been all that responsive. sometimes they do rise to the task, like when King George VI, an unlikely hero in many respects, lead the country bravely through the Second World War with the help of Winston Churchill. Many aspects of monarchy are dated, starting with the rigid class order which defines it, but it serves a purpose in the broader scheme of governance.

I have a little hope for him, being as he is part Diana's blood, and raised differently than the rest of their cold-blooded family seemed to be raised

The mutant son of an inbred, nose-picking mental retard and an imbecilic trollop...Moose, you are as delirious as you are apalling. Are you sure it isn't you who you are desribing as so vile? Prince William had to endure much from his parents, and someone such as yourself should no better than to speak so awfully of such a well-mannered, kind, outspoken, and caring woman as Princess Diana. You should be ashamed of yourself, what you speak is monsterous and hateful. It is a dishonor to Di that she is excluded from the weblist of English Monarchs.

The Royal Family actually costs less to maintain than your Presidential campaign for 2004. Pomp and ceremony-the same thing in both cases. The Queen, as titular head, is supposed to represent independence from the Government of the day and thus of constancy..and as such is held to be a better idea than a President. I'm no traditionalist and see it as an anachronism for the 21st Century, however, they DO bring in money for the country, pageantry-wise. It is interesting that when the Goverment suggested that no-one would be interested in honouring the Queen Mum at her funeral, the Brits turned round and did exactly that! When Blair is determined to rid the country of all things that are British(including the Brits themselves it seems)- then the folk will say 'leave our traditions alone, even the pointless ones! William I think will be the last King; events in the world will eventually overtake the idea of Monarchy.

There's just one word needed to sum up the British monarchy. 'Pointless'. You hear people saying ..'but they're good for tourism'. a. this isnt true. surveys done by the English Tourist Board and other organisations show that this factor is quite low down on reasons for people visiting the UK. The only 'foreigners' with any real interest in the royals are sentimental Americans over 60 and of British ancestry. Most other foreigners' interest is purely prurient. b. if it were true, that puts them on a par with Disneyland and Alton Towers. As for prince William, do women really think he's handsome, or is it a bunch of sad teenies looking for an alternative to Westlife?

If William chooses to follow in the honorable path of his mother, Diana, he will probably end up just like Diana did...MURDERED!!!

Prince William is very handsome and dignified. I think the concept of a Royal Family is outdated, but I do think that Prince William would perform his role of King with a great deal of class and decency.

I'm not really a fan of the Royals, but I will defend my country still having them. The Royal Family are a living part of Britain for thousands of years now and do represent Britain internationally. It actually doesn't cost the taxpayers much annually to support the Royal family and they do own companies in order for them to support themselves. If America had the same, I'm sure that you wouldn't see it as a waste of money.

The mutant son of an inbred, nose-picking mental retard and an imbecilic trollop who used to spend $400,000 a year on clothing and grooming while spreading her legs for one of the most notorious cocaine dealers in the UK. This kid looks like a dimbulb, as well, and no wonder. I think it would be good for this social parasite and piece of windowdressing, and for the clueless English public in general, to retire the monarchy and send these shiftless moochers off to work like the rest of us. It's totally ludicrous that we're in the 21st Century already and Great Britian still enfranchises a costly, ceremonial monarchy that hasn't served any true purpose in over 150 years. Enough of the fairy tales and in consequential BS already!!! Time for the UK to enter the realm of Modern Life!!!

William has got to be the best looking royal in the history of the monarchy. I really hope things go well for him and that he turns out to be a better adjusted man than his father seems to be. There are times I almost feel sorry for the life these people are forced to live. It would be like being born with a life sentence - guilded prison - but prison none-the-less.
