Great player in college, but has only shown decent skills in the pros.

What Carolinablue and bluetarbaby said. I'd take him over any Duke player.
Carolinablue32 08/27/2005
RAYMOND FELTON PROBABLY IS NOT THE BEST CAROLINA PLAYER CURRENTLY, BUT HE IS BETTER THEN ANY DUKE PLAYER EVER!
bluetarbaby 04/21/2005
Go ahead Ray. You have given us more than we can possibly ask for. You did not have to stay even two years so we appreciate al,l you have done. Do not worry about us. We will have a down year, probably like 18 and 12 or something, but we'll be great again in 06-07. We are champs so F it. Go increase our NBA dominance. I just hope the Bobcats know who people wanna pay to see, you know? Thanks Ray.

felton really stepped up his game i was impressed w/ his improvements from soph to jr year.
bbutler76 04/05/2005
Really really impressed with Felton. He proved to everyone that he is a better player than Deron last night. He has incredible speed, best ball handler in the game and his shot has steadily gotten better over the past three seasons. Will be a good pro if he continues to work on his shot.

Attaway Ray is the man. Southern boy. Great defender. #1 assist guy in the conf. #1 three point shooter in the conference. As clutch as a preacher's hand holding a $100 bill. The best handles on the PLANET. Fastest guy end to end in the nation. Tough. Smart. Great leader. Cool as hell. Attaway Ray. Young Carolina fans will be at a loss years from now, trying to tell their kids about him. Warrior.

i am the biggest duke fan ever but felton is a good player. i have to admit that. but not as good as JJ!! sorry all you haters but it is true!

Raymond Felton has shown countless times that he is able to carry the team on his shoulders. He is the essential catalyst. For example, the Season Opener @Santa Clara was lost because of Ray's absence. Dukies have said that one player doesn't make or break a game, but sometimes one player can be the difference between an L and a W. He pushes the ball, and can cross anyone in the League, and then make a perfect pass. The only problem with him being so good is that he will move on to the NBA and wont stay to help us another year.

Felton is awesome. He is the heart and soul of the Carolina team, ad it definitely showed in the first game against Santa Clara. The reason the Heels lost was because Felton wasn't in the game to bring the energy and strength that he does. He makes mistakes, all players do, however, given a choice from any ACC point guard, Felton would be my pick hands down. He does what he needs to, when he needs to, and is humble about it! Can everyone say that about Redick???

needs to pass more accurately and workm on his jumper.

He's an ok player but I think he's a bit overrated
veritas523 02/09/2005
He is one of the most talented ball handlers in the game, up there with the likes of phil ford. he is living in chris paul's shadow right now because paul gets all the publicity, but felton is twice the PG chris is. he can score at will but leaves that to the scorers on the team. he will be an nba star, but i pray he hangs around for awhile

When Mr. Felton gets his wrist healthy the sky is the limit for him.Ballhandling and leadership are uncanny. His shooting has gotten much better and his vision and passing are unmatched in the nation. With a healthy Felton UNC should be in the title game.

Win or lose, Ray is already a legend in my mind. He is the definition of pointguard. And he is definitely the funnest player to watch in the ACC since Carter. His scoring hasn't come around yet, but it is obvious he's got that Iverson in him. The real hoop heads see where I'm coming from, don't ya? Which is why he'll be a lottery pick.
NotBlind 10/27/2004
He is such a breath of fresh air. I get the feeling this kid would kill to win.-literally. And he handles the ball beyond anything I can articulate. He dribbles in an unconventional 'showtime' style, yet he never makes a turnover. He seems to know where all the sneaky little reach-ins are coming from , before they come. He can make a fast break happen when every single defender is back. - that would be an oxymoron statement if we were not talking about Felton. If he had played on typical powerhouse Carolina teams, he would already be a legend on Tobacco Road. Hopefully, he can put himself up there with Kenny Smith, Ford, Cota, Mcinnis, Kearns, and Larry Brown, as great NC guards after '05. Whatever his record shows when he is finished with college, I am certain he is the best point guard ever to grace the Smith Center. And I would bet my sister's life, he is a hall of fame pro. He just sounds like a legend. Say it with me, The GREAT RAYMOND FELTON. It sounds right. I'll be a grandad one day, and my grandkids will be telling me how this current Carolina point guard is the best ever, and I'll say, sit down younguns, let Paw-Paw tell ya about the great Ray Felton. It just feels eerily right. 'The great Raymond Felton.' Hey, fellow Heel faithful, tell me you don't know what I'm talking about. Hah, see.

Nothing is funner than watching Felton push the ball up court. It's beautiful like a work of art. And I think now with 2 legitimate backups, and regular breathers, he won't be too exhausted to carry us on home at the end of games, unlike last year. He could barely move by the late second half of games last year.
ourtobaccoroad 09/26/2004
Nobody has handles like Ray.......... .........except Dookies who handle REAL balls. Great leader, a blast to watch, what more could you want?
#1alumniandgro wing 09/26/2004
He is the most dazzling ball handler in America. Also, he played virtually every second last year, and now he has a backup, so now Carolina's large leads won't be blown when he gets fatigued. I truly believe that in 15 or so years, people will look upon Felton as a legend, much like middle aged citizens of North Carolina presently look at Phil Ford. That is a bold statement, ..............but I can't articulate it, I can only say, JESUS, did you see what Felton just did! I can't articulate it.............he is just soooooo good. I mean that in an objective way.................if you look up 'amazing point guard' in the dictionary, you will see a picture of Felton. And that STILL doesn't do him justice.
