She's a lightweight. Not enough brain power. Doesn't know how to follow-up. Inappropriate, banal reactions and responses to the stories she's reporting and people she's interviewing. Lacks preparation, needs to do more homework. Sounds like a high school cheerleader rah-rahing even the most serious news. Cute dimples don't cut it.

She's pretty and she has a laid back sort of charming approach. Just doesn't follow up, Fredericka all that well. Kind of like, Fred left the house and left her in charge, instead of Carol bringing her own personality of sorts to it!
