It's a cozy little place, but for some reason, I never hang out there.

This is one of the few places in the mission where one can have a well brewed coffee and tasty breakfast on a sunny sidewalk without being bothered by panhandlers. They have a nice variety of breakfast plates, salads, sandwiches, and pastas. They also offer free wifi now and are open through dinner.

*Update* Morning Due has put in a real kitchen and is now a great place for brunch. This is sunny coffee shop located on the corner of 17th and Church between the Castro and the Mission. There's plenty of cool art on the walls, bookshelves all over the place, and the music is usually classical. It's definitely a different vibe than Maxfields or Muddy Waters, with a somewhat older crowd. It's a great place to get some work done however, and the sun streaming in the windows makes it a really pleasant place. The food is just so so, and you have to pay for the wifi - which means you can usually get a table.
