The full text of this submission originally read "Add ability to view ratings history of any RIA user and employ a squad of goons in black leather trenchcoats who are available to roust people out of bed in the middle of the night to question them about their abuse of the funny button".

I don't see any need at all for this.

Who cares how other people have rated items?...You ought to be able to form your own opinion on the merit of what you read.Self expression is what counts the most here-not popularity.

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. On the one hand, this is a public Web site - by definition we are posting things for public consumption. You can already see the comments history of any user. On the other hand, I'd hate to see people discouraged from rating with their hearts. For example, let's say I like the Maury Povich show, but I'm embarassed about (this is a fictional example). As things are now, I can give Maury a 5 with no comment. With the proposed feature, the word would get out that I like the Maury Povich Show and nobody would take anything I say seriously... or something.
