He remained undrafted and passed up by the Chiefs in free agency for a reason. While he's a capable short to intermediate passer, he lacks the arm strength to be successful in the NFL. Combine that with the major knee surgeries he's already had and you realize he's not worth the gamble. Still, he is a likeable guy and great leader and could be a surprise to teams later on down the road. Most likely his future is best suited as a coach.

White is an excellent QB. Unfortunately 2 tough losses in national championship games receives more attention than the great play that got the Sooners in back-to-back title games.

Jason White is without a doubt the best OU quarterback in history. Anybody who is Sooner born and Sooner bred knows that. We didn't finish the season the way we obviously wanted to, but that is not Jason's fault. 2003 Heisman winner, 2x Maxwell winner, I love you Jason, you are the BEST!!! GO SOONERS!!!!

OU is my all-time least favorite football team and I was thrilled all the way down to my toenails when USC blew them away in the Orange Bowl. However, Jason White is so talented and likeable that I have to give him a good rating. I wish to goodness he was playing for someone else.

I don't care that Jason White didn't win his own National Title. He has given me so many memories as a season ticket holder and student at OU.Keep your head up Jason.

He is looking a lot better this year than last. He is able to run the ball. UPDATE: He can get his team to the title game but can't get them the title.

Still looking good despite the emergance of Peterson taking away any chance of a Heisman repeat.

He won THE Trophy and set records doing it ... he was hurt in his last two games but you have to look at his entire career and wht he has come back from and what he will accomplish this year... He does but the ball on a dime and hits his receivers in full stride. Pro ?? this question is about COLLEGE !
ortizd 07/14/2004
good college player will never make it in the NFL sorry

Best come back story, period.

COLLEGE football quarterback. he needs to make the most of his remaining days because the NFL doesn't have room for him. definitely overrated
m1970 01/28/2004
He is the most overrated player in college football since Gino Toretta. He played on a pretty good team and obtained inflated numbers by playing in what turned out to be an extremely average Big 12. He was MIA in OU's two biggest games. He will never be an NFL starter and won't last more than a couple years on the next level.
