04/02/2007 | When it is more entertaining just to build the mousetrap and play with it than actually play the game, you know there's a problem.

07/18/2006 | Much like sex with a seriously-Catholic high school or college girl, way too much effort and the payoff isn't really worth it. . .

05/07/2006 | Silly game, and no it never worked correctly. The last part where the "basket" thing goes down the pole and traps the mouse never worked, you always had go hit it to make it fall.

05/07/2006 | This game always looked more fun to play then it actually ever was. You were teased by all the contraptions, but they neevr really paid off.

11/20/2004 | Like Grape Escape, this is one of those games where it almost never works property, and if you lose one part it's borderline useless.

11/20/2004 | I agree with irishgit. Yorthan, guess what! Nowadays, the game STILL doesn't work properly! (rolls eyes) We had to get it returned. You'd think that after YEARS of technological and sociological advance, Mouse Trap would get their act together! But NOOO, the trap door just WOULDN'T open.

09/06/2004 | I'm giving it 4 stars for its intended age group; my nephews loved it at the appropriate age. And the instructions (at least the edition my brothers and I had) made explicit provision for the Rube Goldberg device not working: The mouse goes free! * * * Public P.S. for brayden--same as my private message to him(?): Writing an unspaced word that long makes the page expand horizontally, which means that EVERYbody's comments are spread across, which means that readers have to use the scroll bar to see the first and/or last letters. Can you wonder that your otherwise too-brief comment has attracted 9 Unhelpfuls?

08/30/2004 | I remember this. It was amusing to set it together, but as a game rather boring.

04/13/2004 | I never really understood this game as a kid. Half the time, the contraption didn't work the way it was supposed to. The other half of the time, it just seemed a bit anti-climactic. At least, we didn't get as excited as the kids on the commercial.

12/28/2003 | Hahaha, I miss playing Mouse Trap! It was so cute! I didn't even need the actual game, just assembling the trap contraption was fun on its own. It really brings out the imagination more so than board games that just deal with money.
