I really enjoy reading abichara's reviews, particularly the political ones. He makes good sense, and his reviews always hold my interest. To my knowledge, I have never seen him down anybody, which is a good quality in a reviewer.

Great reviewer. I always take time to read his posts with care. I often learn something from him.

I can give abichara the praise he deserves- he is one of the most intelligent, lucid reviewers on RIA.I can do so without a childish attempt to insult other reviewers.Damn, I'm good.

Definitely the most intellectual, erudite conservative on the site. I don't necessarily agree with him any more than I do with some of the more feverish, cult-like neo-cons populating the site, but he bases his opinions on facts (interpreted with a conservative slant) rather than nonsense, and explains himself commendably. What Pat Buchanan is to the Republican Party, Abichara1882 is to RIA.

Probably the most balanced reviewer here, and one of the most thoughtful reads going. I try not to miss what he has to say.
Daccory 11/12/2004
By far the best reviewer, sensible, forward thinking, evenly balanced arguments. Common sense in every posting.

I admire the deep thought behind his well-reasoned opinions. Seems to be an expert on a wide variety of issues. Considers both sides, and not in just a superficial way.

Very strong reviewer, well thought out comments and arguments. He and I part company on how to fight terror and on the Bush reelection. Those are a real mind bender for me: Terror is a law enforcement issue and Kerry (with the weakest resume on the entire political horizon) is the superior choice for US President, for a young guy who espouses almost all republican principles. But his views are well worth trying to understand. I'll continue trying. UPDATE: In reading many recent posts, I have trouble reconciling Abi's foreign policy views. My primary disagreement, fundamentally, is still in the area of how to deal with terrorists. Dealing with them as a law-enforcement issue (or a nuisance, as per John Kerry) has been shown, by Bill Clinton and others, to encourage them to hate us and attack us. Dealing with them as a military problem only allows them to hate us. The proof is apparent and Abi's posts become less coherent, and less convincing, on this topic. Am also trying to reconcile his apostleship for Kerry. The pro-Kerry camp on RIA seems to be a more shrill, emotional group who listen selectively and throw insulting jargons at the argument. Abi doesn't seem to fit but is still entrenched in that faction. Oh well.

Very impressed with his writing skills. I generally agree with his conservative view points and in principle understand his concerns about deficit spending and government expansion. And though he is totally correct on these positions I find them less of a concern so long as the economy keeps growing. On foreign policy issues I totally disagree with his assertion that the United States needs to pull back into a multi-polar paradigm and reduce our military capacity in other lands. This debate however is for another time and place. He is very well informed and his comments are a expressed in a cohesive lucid manner. I hope he comes to his senses and realizes thought Dubya is far from perfect he's doing a fairly good job.

Abichara1882 I like. I agree with him on most issues. Is the sites political expert and the person I find to be most helpful. Some comments do have too much information, but most are great.

I liked alot of his comments then I read his bio where he claims to be a Republican! Let me tell ya. If he is voting for Kerry, which he says he is, he is no Republican! He is everything and anything Republicans are NOT! Don't be building up Reagan either, he would be very disappointed in ya man. You need to study your political science a little more. You are not a Republican.Update:I nearly fell asleep with your verbose and dull and trite statements, as you uttered platitude after platitude. You are fairly well read, but your comments are way too long.Bottom line, a true Republican could never support a man like Kerry. You said it best, you remain registered GOP for your local politics.Your the political science man what are the usual Republican platforms?Pro-life,less government control,pro-NRA,less taxes and a strong military.Kerry stands for the opposite! The Republicans I know would almost rather die than cast a vote for ANY LIBERAL!Let alone the number 1 liberal in the Senate MAN!They most certainly would not walk across the street to hear Howard Dean run his mouth. You probobly thought Al Gore's big speech where he blew a gasket was wonderful too!You need to wake up!Michael Moore is voting for Kerry, you want to vote the same way as that slob?

A very well-read, well-informed reviewer. I don't necessarily agree with everything he says (so, who agrees with everything I say, or with what any of us say?), but he does take the time to lay out his convictions very articulately. Seems to have an experience factor way beyond his years. Always instructive reading his comments (whether you like them 100% or not - I think I'm at about the 90% point).
magellan 06/11/2004
The site's resident political expert, and always does a decent job of laying out both sides of a political issue. In my opinion, a top 5 reviewer. Update: But if you don't vote for the same person I do, I'll knock you down to two stars. How's that for independent thinking?
minkey 03/18/2004
Smart guy, good comments/lists. Nice guy as well.
scarletfeather 03/12/2004
Seems like a bright and sensible young man. He evidently puts some thought into his reviews, but also expresses his opinions succintly.
JonTheMan 01/20/2004
Recently I've been reading a lot of this reviewers comments. I've found that whilst I rarely agree with them I have developed a profound respect for this individuals writing skill as well as his vast social and economic knowledge. Given his apparent levelheadedness I think he'd be a great person to debate with.
Redoedo 11/15/2003
abichara1882 is one of the most knowledgable reviewers on this website. His comments reflect this. abichara1882 is unique in that he can see every side to every issue, and in the end presents a balanced perspective no matter what he is writing about. This is why people from both sides of the political spectrum have no choice but to praise him.
MissPackRat4Je sus 10/22/2003
Abichara seems to have a straight head on his shoulders for his early 20s. This brilliant young man should be rated higher on this list!
AndrewScott 08/28/2003
Regardless of political leanings, many fairminded hearts probably recognize he deserves more support than he has received thus far on this rating list. Kudos to Abichara for taking great care to logically substantiate his assertions and to address opposing viewpoint in a mature, generally respectful manner. You'd never confuse him for being a Democrat, though some of his nuances may surprise.
DeathRattle 08/21/2003
Whatever his opinion may be on a subject, he'll back it up with facts. If some of his answers sound goofy, well that's just the subject in itself that's goofy. Check out his political rants for a real open-minded point of view.
President -X-D 08/12/2003
A more than competent reviewer who can see multiple sides of issues. But when it comes right down to it, abichara1882 calls people out to take responsibility for themselves. Always an admirable stance to take.
