 | luridlloyd (9) 09/04/2007 | She looks like the Joker on Batman. A little less makeup, and lipstick which isn't sooo red might help. Otherwise she doesn't say anything important.

 | samjung23 (4) 02/20/2006 | While her husband is a jackass, Laura Bush is one of the most congenial First Ladies America has ever had. She seems like a really nice, pleasant person. Some say she's a Stepford Wife, but she's just quiet and mannerly, and there's nothing wrong with that. Stepford Wives are usually uptight flakes...

 | oshkoshjosh (0) 02/20/2006 | I get the impression from her that what George and his administration says isn't always what she herself believes. She seems to be a fine lady, but I get the impression she traded in her own convictions to be the wife of George W. Bush. Of course, she's a perfect Southern lady after my own heart, so one coulnd't expect her to publicly oppose her husbands stances (we simply don't do that in the South, ha). She seems very bland and uninspiring in public and she hasn't really promoted any goodwill agenda or good cause dear to her since she's been in office. So while I think she probably is a decent lady, I can't rate her very high as a First Lady.

 | numbah16tdhaha (147) 09/29/2005 | I love how liberals automatically rate her poorly, yet have no real knowlege about her. They are just transfering their Dubaya hate fest on her using half assed Dem speak claims which are usually more fabrication than anything else. I kinda like her, and it is refreshing that she isn't chomping on the microphone all the time like her attention seeking, self promoting predecessor.

 | Mr. Democratic (0) 09/04/2005 | Did yoy know that she smokes like a chimney and lies about it, someone needs to ask that to the President, and then we can try to impeach him for a stupid reason like they tried to do to Clinton.

 | Inmyopinion (10) 08/07/2005 | While I am far from fond (you gotta love aliteration) of her husband's decisions as president; she is a very nice first lady. She never gets nasty or slams anybody, and she actually seems like a REAL person, a REAL wife. Many first ladies in the past, seemed like fake trophy wives who were always tipsy (Barbra Walters knows what I'm talking about lol). But Laura is much more down to earth, in my opinion.

 | scarletfeather (47) 09/27/2004 | Yes, Laura Bush is a good First Lady. She seems very sweet and feminine. But Mr. Political, why can't you say something good about someone without using it as an excuse to slam somebody else?

 | Mr.Political (18) 09/27/2004 | Represents the good parts of America. She behaves in a manner that is appropriate for a first lady and conducts herself as the refined woman she is. Unlike Terresa who would call anyone who would disagree with her a scumbag, Laura shows what America fights for and is. That is, a dignified and well respected symbol in the world.

 | Moosekarloff (17) 06/07/2004 | Dowdy and bland. Mothered two drunken, irresponsible party girls to whom the media and rightwing have given a free pass (just like Daddykins). A librarian by trade, she maintains her own personal library using the Dewey Decimal System, which indicates a degree of officiousness and anal-retentive control freakism. Also, as the Dewey Decimal System pretty much fell out of favor and general use about 30 years ago, I have to wonder how with it she truly is. If she has any pet projects or ongoing good will initatives that she's committed to, that's news to me. Maybe she keeps it quiet, but I always thought it was a good idea of a First Lady was a high-profile and vocal supporter of worthwhile causes. Finally, consider who she married...

 | gunfondler (0) 04/28/2004 | She should at least get credit for shepherding her alcoholic illiterate husband to the white house. She needs to work on the kids now.

 | abichara (60) 04/18/2004 | She seems like a very nice lady. Laura Bush conducts herself with an unstated elegance in the White House that I find refreshing. She seems very intelligent and has a mooring effect on Bush. I was very impressed by her performance at a UN conference in Europe last year, she really takes away the sharp edges off of some of Bush's policies. The President should listen to her more, she had good instincts about politics and people.
