i am actually a baby doctor, and while i believe breast milk is best, my supply fell off after 2 months so i started supplementing. i starting with enfamil but my baby had an excematous skin rash, so we switched to the less hyperallergenic good start. she has done very well with it...and for the person who think DHA and ARAs aren't important...get a clue and do some research...these fatty acids are imperative for normal eye and brain development...if you can't breast feed you have to give the next best thing...

My son was colicky/reflux. It was the worst thing I have ever had to experience. We wasted tons of money on different kinds of formula. Similac is horribe, it is so bubbly no wonder babies get belly aches.Nesle good start with out the added dha/rha was a life saver. My son has been happy, healthy and no longer pukes! He has been a changed baby for months now, I can't thank Nestle enough. I do not know what these companies are adding to the formula's now a day, but it does not agree with little tummies. I really am a firm believer that the dha/rha is for the birds and may cause a lot of problems. My son is 8 months old now and is as smart as any other baby his age and he did not have them added nutrients in his formula.

My son wasn't gassy with this formula, but it made him spit up all the time.

Every baby is different. This review is based on my own personal experience and I do not claim to speak for anybody else.My son was given Similac when he was born but he was gassy with it so I thought that Nestle would be a better choice. It had the "comfort proteins" and they made it sound as though nothing would be easier on his little tummy. My son HATED this formula. While he was on it he had terrible gas and cramps and would wake up in the middle of the night crying from the gas pressure. He was also spitting up quite frequently with it. I, like other reviewers, found that it didn't dissolve very well. No matter how hard you shook it, there were still undissolved pieces in it. I finally had enough and switched to Enfamil Gentlease and have had no problems with either gas or spitting up since. Ultimately, it is a trial and error process and what works for one baby will not for another.

This formula gave my 10 wk old son the worst gas cramps for days. He is sensitive and needed to have a hypoallergenic product but did much better with Enfamil products.

GREAT formula! My daughter didn't vomit this formula and it seems to taste better.

In my daughters case it gave her some colic. I noticed the powder did not disolve as well as the other brand. It had a heavier, grittier feel to it. I agree with beloved that this scoop was rather bulky for the can.

Good formula that doesnt give baby severe constipation. My only problem is their stupid scoop and the lack of formula volume in the powder cans.

It is great! However, there is one draw back;you can never find the product in stroes they are always out and the stores that carry them place a limit on the the amount you may purchase all at once. I never could get enough to last longer than a week I would buy the last 2 from here and 3 more from there. I found myself traveling over 15 miles to get any formula.

This formula is good , however the step 2 of this product contains corn syrup. Why a infant formula would need this is not known to me . Also the step 2 is higher in sodium than other step 2 product of different brands.

After trying both Similac Advance w/Iron and Isomil Advance w/iron (both of which left my newborn son gassy and uncomfortable, my pediatrician recommended trying Nestle Good Start Supreme DHA&ARA. This formula is made from whey protein and Nestle refers to it as comfort proteins which are easier to digest. The comfort proteins have certainly made a difference for my son. He took to the Good Start immediately and no longer suffers from constant gas pains. I highly recommend Nestle Good Start Supreme DHA&ARA.

I have had great luck with good start. My baby had a hard time breast feeding so after 2 months of trying we switched to formula. We tried numerous formulas that all caused tummy aches, spitting up and gas. Enfamil seemed to do ok but half the bottle was foam after shaking. Good start fit my baby better than any other.

This might be your best bet if you have a fussy baby who is having problems handling formula. Brest milk is the way to go, but if you can't provide it all the time this is a good product to start with. My pediatrician told me to try this first. It costs less than Similac or Enfamil, but don't be fooled- it also has less formula per package. It also does not yet come with the added DHA and ARA lipids which seem to be a fad in formulas right now but I've been told that babies produce these nutrients on their own anyhow.
