the simpsons is hilarious.

If you got me started on this, I wouldnt stop. So I'll just stop and say best show ever.

Even though they've started to run out of gas the last three years or so, The Simpsons overall run has provided me with some of the deepest belly laughs of any show I've ever seen. This is my all time favorite comedy.

A rare gem for FOX, this long-running sitcom has gags, puns, slapstick, off-the-wall plots, breaking the fourth wall, and yet a nuclear family also. Some episodes are failures, though.

I don't know if the Simpsons would be considered a cult TV show, but definitely an entire new culture has evolved out of aficionados of the show. I've had hour-long conversations with people I'm meeting for the first time discussing the sardonic humor of the Simpsons writers and all of the classic moments over the last 14 years.

Though the Simpsons have gone downhill in its later years, I still am a fan. It covers a nice range of humor, from slapstick to intellectual.

The Simpsons is my favorite TV show. It's so funny and well-written. I think it's a great satire on American life. It may have gone downhill in recent seasons, but I still find it one of the funniest TV shows on right now.
