Not at all a favorite (either version, with the Roger Corman original less unaccomplished), but this is the very definition of what cult movies should be.

I am not familiar with the original, but the Rick Moranis version is one of the few musicals I can watch with out getting nauseated.

Rating the original Roger Corman version of Little Shop of Horrors from the 1960s (not the 80s musical), since the original was more of a cult film. Not a bad movie, but not really good either. Very low budget, but had some great moments such as Jack Nicholson as the masochistic dental patient. In response to PBeavr, yes there was an off-Broadway musical based on the movie, which inspired the musical version of the movie. The musical is currently on Broadway. I saw the Broadway version recently, and it was great.
