03/22/2007 | I always have fantasies about exploring these houses...love the intricacy and the prospect of secret staircases, rooms and corridors. Again (as I've said elsewhere), this comes from watching too much horror.

06/07/2005 | If built in the years shown here, they are the best of American architecture, but I don't like this whole fad of trying to imitate them. My wife and I want to buy a victorian fixer-upper in the city once we are empty nesters.
