I became bored with this show very rapidly...Shaloub is much better in Monk, a vastly much more entertaining show.

An average sitcom with a large following. I never thought this show was particularly funny. The cast is talented but I thought it tried to be more than it was. Wings is a step above Murphy Brown and Designing Women, but it's two HUGE steps below Cheers, the Mary Tyler Moore Show, and Newhart.

Wings is my second favorite TV show (The Simpsons is #1). I'm amazed that it was able to last on NBC for eight seasons. Most of the critics hated it, the awards shows ignored it, it was more popular to bash and criticize it, and NBC never had too much faith in it. Yet, the show had its loyal viewers and still has a good-sized fan base six years after it ended. Personally, I'll never understand the hatred towards Wings. I think it's such a funny show with lovable characters, funny plots, and great writing. The cast and crew did a great job. I think Wings is such an under-rated show and personally, I'd rather watch it over some of the more critically-acclaimed shows like Friends and Will & Grace any day of the week.
