 | EschewObfuscation (65) 08/29/2004 | Yes, tator, I like this jingoistic piece of garbage, a song that captures the edgy, defiant, combative side of American pride. Songwriters and performers can actually mobilize a country in a positive way, sometimes. I guess we won't hear Babs Streisand covering this song anytime soon, although, what a great Saturday Night Live skit that would be. Heads would certainly roll after that one.

 | OrangeCharlie (5) 01/18/2004 | LOVE IT! I think Toby really captured the feelings of a lot of Americans in this song.

 | zuchinibut (40) 12/05/2003 | To quote Tpicknell: Toby Kieth is one of the greatest singers I have ever heard. To know someone hates one of his songs dicusses me! He is a true American and people can't handle that!!!
1 - His name is Toby Keith, not Kieth. One of the greatest singers you have ever heard and you can't spell his name correctly.
2 - ...discusses me! Wrong word...Way off. Try the word disgusts next time.
3 - What is your definition of true American? I am a United States citizen, and consider myself a true American. Toby Keith is an American as well, and I can handle that. I have supported much of the actions George Bush has taken since 9/11/01. However since I do not like this song by Toby Keith I must not be a true American.
Thank you for clarifying so many things for me. Until reading your opinion, I had everything all wrong.

 | Vudija (94) 08/02/2003 | Definetly one of the more patriotic songs released after the 9/11 tragedy. It is a great symbol of our love for our country.

 | Redoedo (40) 07/30/2003 | The best song that was released in the aftermath of the tragedy of 9/11. If this song doesn't bring out the patriot in you at least for a moment, nothing will.
