10/31/2005 | I think this is a great little car - Fast and Nimble out of the box . . .
The one person's previous post comparing it to the SRT - Thats not fair - There are some HIGH end sports cars that dont even compare to the SRT-4 . . .
Its fast enough to get a thrill . . and if your into moddifying/going faster - There are thousands of engine mods you can do - Ive seen R/T's run 11 second 1/4 mile (compare that to the SRT-4)
And also - The car is as reliable as the maintence you put into it . . change the oil and keep it well maintained - it will go 150k+ miles (my fiances' has 150k)

06/01/2004 | The Neon R/T is not that much better than the normal run-of-the-mill family Neon. It's a little bit more sporty and it's got some special badges and wheels but its not a performance machine. The Neon SRT-4 is the true track star of the Neon family, so in the performance aspect of things, it only gets a 2 out of 5 stars, because it is an economy car, but its not a race car.

03/21/2004 | I just got a 2004 neon. Its great, it gets great gas milage, and its easy to drive. I have a 5-speed.. and I LOVE IT. Everywhere i go people look at me. Its a pretty speedy car. Its a good car to rely on. I haven't had any problems. It is a very comfortable car. I've can drive for hours on end in it, and not move really. It is a great car for your money!

12/11/2003 | I have a 98 Neon RT with 118K miles
So far it has been a great car,
Yes it had a headgasket problem at about 70K miles
Dealer replaced it with no problems at no charge,
other than routine maitanence have had no other problems,
I have also Modified the car and have been very aggressive with it
i have not babied this car,
yet no probs except for headgasket,
for mods i have the basic bolt ons,
Air intake/Mopar CPU/Mopar Wires/Mopar Exhaust header.
it is also my car of choice for long distance trips,
as i have sepnt 13 hrs straight in the car with little discomfort

07/16/2003 | For a small car, this is pretty fast. One of the
quickest stock on this list, probably the fastest.
But, all Neon's have been unreliable. For a domestic,
I'd stick with the Focus, which has won all the awards.
