Good in most cases, but not great. Similar to Clinton or Reagan, solid but not brilliant except on occasion.

John F. Uckennedy. He'd hit anything that moved, as long as it wasn't his wife. This guy got more leg than Frank Sinatra and Martin Luther King combined. To the victor goes the spoils, I guess, and the goils, too. Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask some waitress or chambermaid for a BJ. Ich bin ein Frauleinficker. Ah Johnny, we hardly blew ye...

I shook his hand in 1960 and saw him speak when I was present. He was a good speaker, but in those days that was an asset, not the deciding factor. Then the majority of the electorate could still read and write, and in fact actually used the printed word to get the news.

JFK wasn't a powerhouse speaker, but he came across as clever and friendly.

I've bashed this pig, but there is no denying he was a decent public speaker. . .I guess there was a time when American voters expected their leader to have a solid grasp of the English language.

A great Orator of all times who was silenced by none else than the Jewish lobby, coz of multiple reasons, one among which was question about the Nuclear Weapons that Israel owns. Till when will we (we Americans) allow these Jewish (Zionist) to control our Country like this.

The first of the Presidents to use television to his advantage. Had charisma and passion and it came through in his speeches.

He was a great orator because all of his speeches are memorable, from the Inaugural address to the Space Speech he gave in Texas. From the difficult to the sublime he got the message across. Net

Kennedy was blessed with the ability to communicate himself well, which was why he was so popular as president. His priceless wit was his greatest strength and was largely instrumental in portraying him as more energetic and youthful than most politicians of his time. His speeches were eloquently written and he delivered them well. He was very effective at providing a positive outlook on the future despite the civil unrest and uncertainty that was running rampant in the country at the time. He came across as being well-informed on policy matters, especially on foreign policy. Most importantly, however, he provided Americans with a sense of hope and optimism and conveyed the spirit that if united there was no challenge that the United States of America could not meet in a rapidly changing, yet unwaveringly troubled world.

Kennedy was a solid public speaker. His strength was that he was very quick on his feet. Impromptu was his strength, it was when he came across as most personable. His more formal speeches were also delivered very well. Kennedy got a lot of help from his very talented speechwriter Ted Sorenson who coined many of the broad challenges that he issued to America at the time. Substantively, Kennedy didn't do much as President, but he did succeed in helping America set goals for itself. He had a good sense of timing and it helped catch the mood of the country, which is why he's so highly rated.

JFK was brilliant, like when he said that he was doughnut. Most of speaches were platitudes to soothe the idiots on whom he depended for votes.

I guess it's pretty much accepted that this guy was Mr. Charisma - especially after the debate with Huckleberry Hound Nixon with his 5 o'clock shadow. He was also a very good speaker. The Irish twinkle in his eye didn't hurt either.
