I can't help myself. This thing always looks to me like the dread Necromancers fortress in some sword and sandal D-movie crap.

Not to be ignored because of its size and dominance over the Chicago skyline, but when you see how the Middle East and Asia are interpreting these kinds of dimensions, it's far less impressive. I believe that I saw the reflection of a human embryo in one side of it and, down on the street, a bunch of apes dancing around it, throwing bones into the air...

Very nice design for its era. Held the title for "World's Tallest" for a bit, and still stands out.

I've been to the top - which was breathtaking of course. But for looks I'll have to say just okay. It's so dark and plain I keep thinking of the monolith in 2001.
