And here we are, the 14th one star rating for the MTV compatability test. Final tally:
14 one star ratings, and 1 two star rating. Apparently, I have previously rated the remaining three items in the test. Chances are, I rated them a 1.

Some of the cases are pretty touching - like the young girl who adopted a bunch of kids and supports them by being a stripper - and others are less heavy - like the Hooters girl cursed with a small chest wrestling with the decision to get breast implants. A mixed bag, I guess.

I've seen True Life a few times...and personally, It gets old. I mean True Life: I'm a cheerleader or True Life: I'm fat whatever....basically they find the dumbest kids they can and film them.....its not true life, its the edited life of these people who don't represent us other people who get up go to work, school, have some kind of nice hobby, spend family time, etc,. Because the major populas isn't going to cheer camp or fat camp. MTV sucks, its for all the kids who just got their driver liscense.

I watch this even though I am a 58 year old woman. I don't have kids, but I love to see how some of them are dealing with the crazy society today. Sometimes the shows are very informative and entertaining.

Tell me, does anyone actually watch MTV for entertainment, or to have their brain cells artifically destroyed by the worst of the worst of television. The verdict is in: MTV has no imagination. Allow me to explain: reality takes no imagination. Even scripted shows that base themselves in reality have no imagination. To think outside of the box is to think outside of reality. But, MTV is the polar opposite of creativity and imagination. MTV is a peddler of shock, trash, and junk, and this totally useless exploitative landfill of a show just goes to prove it. Aside from all of the usual MTV cliches (sexual content, nudity, constant and cringe-worthy profanity, terrible music, uninspired camera work, no use) its just dull and snooze-worthy (but, that is an MTV cliche as well). And, also as usual for MTV, there are no clear role models and the lines between good (not MTV) and evil (MTV) are not clearly drawn. Avoid true life and watch something brimming with creativity, imagination and unreality like “Tokyo Pig,” “Pokemon,” “Star Trek: Voyager,” “I Dream of Jeannie,” or “Duck Dodgers.” True Life = Not My Life, thank you! Easily, one of the worst shows of all time. Here's a challenge to the producers of reality television, how about following good, law-abiding, INTELLIGENT people to show how people SHOULD act, instead of how they shouldn't act!!!

One of the few shows left on MTV that have some substance.
