I wish all the seasons were available on DVD. It was smart and original. Great cast and writing. It took me years to discover this gem.

This piece of trash ran out of ideas long ago. Isn't it time to scrap it? Yes, "they" said.
fizbansfriend 02/23/2007
A well written and acted Drama that should have survived the WB/UPN merger.
rockerrreds 07/11/2006
Emily VanCamp is both a brilliant actress and breathtakingly beautiful.I hope she finds roles worthy of her.

oh my god i really like this show it is so much like real life

Everwood has a great premise. A rich famous doctor moves to some tiny town in the middle of colorado because of something his recently deceased wife once said. Everwood is a beautiful town, I wonder where they shoot this show? It started out really strong but I have slowly lost interest. It failed to hook me.
myschipperke 01/04/2006
I love Everwood! The show is a family drama with some serious issues and some humor thrown in. It is realistic in that the issues are not solved in 60 minutes, just like real life. It is also about how the Abbotts and Browns interact with the adults and with the teens. I believe Gregory Smith, Emily Van Camp, and the rest of the cast do a very believeable job with great acting, and the scripts this season are comparable to season 1 - great! I would challenge you to find it Thursday nights on the WB - if Everwood were on one of the major networks, I believe it would have had several Emmy nominations by now!

I really love this show. It is another drama that deals wholesomely with family and friend issues although this deals with even more modern-day issues than Seventh Heaven.
bsmil4 05/16/2005
it is one of the best shows
klowds 02/15/2005
great show, there's not many shows out there anymore that maintain their integrity like this one.
xnitrorider62x 12/17/2004
Everwood follows Dawson's Creek as the best teen drama expanding on the everyone has their own lives including adults idea. If the show was just about Ephriam and Amy it would of gotten very boring very quick. Everwood is easily the best written show on the WB. As for the acting I believe that Emily VanCamp did a teriffic job as Amy espically during her little depressed period. She is currently the most real best acted character. Not that everyone else sucks she is just a stand out performer as was the guy who played Ephriam during the first season. All in all Everwood is the best teen drama scratch that the best drama on tv. Everwood rules almost as much as Emily VanCamp is hot!!!
milletje 12/16/2004
Hey...everybody should shut up about everwood. The acting is great. And about the writing..at least its not a dull show that is always about 1 thing. For some people this show can be very helpful with solving their problems!!

Awful WB shows aren't for talent. It's for getting hot people to look at. and this sorry WB show has niether. crappy writers who use overused plots, with no realistic dialogue. boring 'whatever' actors. please cancel this shooow
Mad_Tv_Krazy 07/04/2004
I like the show. Now that it is entering Season 3 I'm scared, I think they are running out of story lines.
ClassicTVFan47 06/26/2004
Just as the sitcom seems to have lost the ability to come up with anything beyond the typical family with no creative or unrealistic twist, the drama seems to be unable to come up with anything not involving tons of angst, histronics, and relationship guesswork. Everwood is a key example of this. You want parents arguing with kids? You've got it. You want abortion turmoil? Check. You want runaways from home that aren't solved ala Leave it to Beaver? Indeed. I don't need to go on, do I? The acting is awful--very subdued and angry. The writing is equally bad--not a drop of goodness to be found. And, yes, there's profanity and sexual content to be found too.
Lauren289 06/18/2004
I'm giving this show a 3 for OK because the guy who plays Bright makes me laugh and because Treat Williams is the only good actor on this show. Maybe even the only good actor on the WB, but I'm probably wrong.
mlugo 05/27/2004
A+ Drama. Funny too. Each chapter always has a lesson about life and hope. The cast is excelent.
maersk 05/18/2004
horrid. almost as bad as that other steaming heap known as one tree hill. the WB cant do television worth sh*t
JennaRuth 05/13/2004
I love this show. I think it is a little unknown gem. Their season finale was awesome and I can't wait until next season.Ephram a daddy!?*!
kolby1973 04/29/2004
Everwood had a really hard time making it during its first season, but this season has proven to be so much better. A nice family oriented drama that teaches alot of valuable lessons to teens and it has an excellent story line involving a widower with 2 children that he is raising in a small town in the mountains of Colorado. I recommend it to the whole family.
truismycalling 04/17/2004
A little to boring even though Treat Williams is pretty cool!
salemsurfer182 04/10/2004
I hate this show... puts me to sleep!! CANCEL IT!! WB needs to cancel all their shows and get some good ones
Cherish_Rose 04/08/2004
This show is simply amazing. It has THE BEST writing on television. There is no family drama whose writers are nearly as talented. The subtleness of the plots are amazing, and the actors chemistry is amazing. This show is Emmy-worthy, even though I believe it's way to good for the Emmy's. This show is a must watch.
armidillohandb ag 03/10/2004
I get entranced in the show! It was hard to stomach at first, what with the dad always talking about himself and his problems, but the plots have improved tremendously. Its come a long way and i LOVE it!
hammerbrad 02/14/2004
This really is the best writing on television today. I am impressed by every episode and I am hard to impress.
skyseifera 02/08/2004
Everwood is a well-written, greatly acted show that deserves nothing under 5 stars.
micahan 12/21/2003
keep up the good work
Zorque 12/17/2003
Look, ma! No treacle! Everwood is the second-best family drama on TV - behind Joan of Arcadia.
Angel Wings 11/24/2003
Very awesome show, I love it, after Tarzan, it's the bestest!!
T Felicity 11/20/2003
Wow, I can't beleive the ratings are so low for this show. If I could have rated it ten, I would have. This is a never miss show for me. This show helps me to show my children that they aren't the only ones having teenage angst, and that the world is NOT a perfect place, but there are good things in it and parents have to be tough in order to help their kids grow up happy and healthy. I am really glad that they have given the character Andy time to grow since the death of his wife, instead of throwing him into a relationship right away. It's fun to watch him sort out the life of a family man without losing his own identity. The story lines now that Colin is gone seem to be more meaty. It had been a little slow for a while there, but now it has picked up a lot. Keep up the good work!
malissajanes 11/12/2003
It's a good family show that deals with controversial issues.
ciara217 10/28/2003
Wonderful, wonderful show! The cast is fabulous and the writing for this show is just great. This is definitely a can't miss show for me.
liberland 10/27/2003
Strong, well-acted characters, good format, good story lines.
preschoolteach er 06/06/2003
Don't know why, just couldn't get interested in this one.
Ktrek 06/03/2003
I was very skeptical of this show at first. Like others on here I am not a WB fan. I'm 47 so I know I don't fit the normal demographic for WB either. Anyway, a young friend of mine convinced me to give this show a shot. The pilot episode did not hook me but as I watched the show unfold each episode seemed to get better and better. Someone also said this is not family fair. I strongly disagree. If you have teenagers there are many subjects that the show confronts that would make a good springboard for discussing difficult moral issues with your children. This show has alot of poetential and I think next season will be even better, I hope that word can get around about the show so it will be here for awhile. It seems like every show I ever get liking gets canceled within two years. One last thing I would like to say about Everwood. It is probably the most heartwarming series on television since the Waltons. It's very moving and thought provoking! I only wish there was more televison like Everwood!!
BorntoRock 05/29/2003
I wish the mom had lived, so Dad could get off his high horse and shut the hell up. Patricide, that's all this low-rent Gilmore guys makes me think of.
marya2000 05/27/2003
I LOVE this show!! It's my favorite.
rmcrea 05/25/2003
I LOVE THE WRITING AND THE STORY LINES AND THE FAMILY FEELING
tj92101 05/20/2003
It's so nice to see a program on television that does not rely on the traditional gags (violence and sex) for ratings. This is the most compelling new program television has seen in quite some time. The cast is first-rate from top to bottom.
Cat_Mom03 05/16/2003
Great show!!!! I've never missed an episode. Can't wait till the 2nd season.
m1z9 05/14/2003
I SOO like watching Everwood! The abortion episode was one of tv's best episodes EVER!
ashleyfogg 05/12/2003
This show is so great. I hope it really gets a chance. People shouldn't get the idea that it's like anything else, and although the WB does promote it's young stars, this show has more depth than anything else on their schedule right now. Love it.
sundance70 04/16/2003
It doesn't hold my intrest long enough for me to watch it week after week.
Angelus 04/08/2003
I love this show too! Just really sick of all the re-runs on during the 1st season.
AngelicDarla 04/05/2003
In one word - crappy
morts98 03/15/2003
The more I watch this show the better I'm liking it. You start to feel for the characters.
gloriaehrlich 03/14/2003
It had an impressive story line, the reality that not only mothers can parent, it still a gard sell. It is happening more, but I don't think it is as realistic, as what certain shows, might like to think it is. It is very imprrtant to not confuse the idea, that t.v. is definitely on the search for Mr.Mom. The story line dealing with the depressed teen-age son, and the his small searching daughter, is indeed a challenging situation, also are challenging situations are the doctors secretary, who is a modest woman remarried to a person of different race. The point of view is taken with the emphasis of an older couple, not just the what is happening now with inter-racial dating. The other captive point is knoing that the beautiful young girl is heartbroken for her boyfriend who was paralyzed. The secens are emotional, gut wrenching, and deals with legalities, and an assortment of obstacles, that stand in the way, of the doctors son and the beautiful girl who try desperately to sort out thier loyalities. Confusing, but still has a decent idea or motherless families.
everwood 03/03/2003
this show reaches kids and adults of all ages.there are very few shows which actually do that. this show also combines humor with drama, which are the perfect ingredients for a sucessful show! the wb has done it again!!
Timeo 02/22/2003
A PG-rated show with occasional moments of mature themes. Everwood is an interesting and engaging show that deals with the relationship between father Andy (Treat Williams) and son Ephram (Gregory Smith) after the passing away of the mother in the family. Emotional outbursts between the two occur quite often in the episodes and it is a rewarding and fun experience to see these two charactors struggle to come to terms with their emotions and feelings for each other. A recommended show. :)
