This Generation's STAR WARS.

I liked The Two Towers most of all, but none the less The Fellowship of the Ring was largely entertaining and captivating.

An awesome movie, that deserves every star it gets. The first time I wached it, I thought it took awile to get interesting, because they had to go through the whole history of the Ring and stuff, and Bilbo's party, and Frodo and Sam's journey to Rivendell, then meeting Aragorn. It got really interesting around the Council of Elrond, when the 9 members of the Fellowship were chosen,then the real journey began. But, a great movie all the same. Nothing like the book, which I finished reading today, but a great work of magic by Jackson's part.

An excellent movie, and an excellent series. Well written and faithful to the spirit of the books, and very well acted, but this is not one of the greatest movies of all time. Without undue effort I can think of at least fifty that are better.

It's good, the acting is good, it was fun to watch and there were some fine moments: but the hype, hype, hype is making my crazy, this series is NOT the great masterpiece of cinema of the modern age. Read the book, which is still better than the movies.
