Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) 5

The best that Star Wars has to offer. The Battle of Hoth and the asteroid chase were astounding, Bespin was rather cool visually, and Luke's duel with Vader was dark and ominous. I heard in some interview that the "I am your father" line had people gasping at the premier.

It's still the best. It's both the funniest and the darkest of all the movies.
