Shameless repackaging of Hybrid Theory, which no other release of theirs has measured up to. To the fire breather, sometimes people think the stuff you like is crap. That's the beauty this site. Everyone gets to speak their piece, unless they act like an ass, of course...

I see a lot of the people insulting Linkin Park are doing it solely on the basis that there are rap vocals. Shows you what kind of intellect these people have. I think this is their best album. Nearly all the songs are better than their Hybrid Theory counterparts. They should have continued this way with Meteora. Emphasis on rap vocals, rock vocals more of a growl, plenty of DJ'ing, lots of guests artists as vocals and production.

My December and Points Of Authority Remix are the best songs on this album. Its about time My December was included as they only had it on Hybrid Theory EP previously and that was a bit** to get hold of. My December is the original song. Points Of Authority is better than the original. However, i would not recommend getting this album for 2 songs, as the rest of this album is crap. All the songs are remixed terribly your best bet is getting the original, bypassing this one and getting meteora and collision course.

This is basically "Hybrid Theory" the remix (except some songs have a few remixes and some songs are not even on there). With every remix of a song, it starts to drag and become real old real quick. Remix albums are never the greatest (White/Rob Zombie, Limp Bizkit, Fear Factory, etc.). If ya like the group, save your money and just buy the first album.

Hybrid Theory was a pretty good album, but was never consistantly entertaining. Same story here- some great songs, (the remixes of Forgotten and My December, and Points of Authority, especially), some okay songs, some pretty bad song (End the End remix is the worst), and this time, some completely useless skits) Still, it's a leap forward because of its freewheeling attitude and it's genuinely arty feel. True, Chester is still annoying, and the bad songs are even worse than the ones on HT, but the good songs are good enough to make this worthwhile, if only for fans of the debut.

Ok first of all Dorian. You are just an idiot. If you are into rock then you would probably kno that rock, is pretty much screaming. They are not talentless. The only person talentless here is you. You cannot judge them properly because you cannot even spell. Their songwriting makes perfect sense. Obviously music lyrics mean nothing to you and your too stupid to understand the message in most of their songs. They do not whine. It is called singing their mind, or in ONE of the singers of the band he raps it out. Music is speaking their mind. Obviously you cannot seem to understand this. And some of the modern rap if pretty good. Maybe your just too OLD to understand any of it. Most of the bands you have listed are OLD. This is a nice cd. What it is, is a remix of all of their songs, and a lot of new ones with different lyrics. Also Stuf if you love the group then you would have noticed that they have new songs and the lyrics have changed been remade. The cd is about being a big remix. Nothing else.

Why, Linkin Park? Why must you infuse your rap (the most horrid genre of music of all time, by the way) within society? Linkin Park is really just a terrible, virtually and absolutely talentless band that wouldn't be capable of defining the word "songwriting" if all of their rice and gold chains depended on it. The vocalist (whom has no talent, mind you) has, quite possibly, the most insubstantial technique I have ever heard in a "rock" band. He just whines and whines and, most atrociously, whines yet again. Th other vocalist (following suit with the aforementioned no-talent scheme, obviously) just raps, and, as you should have acknowledged by now, all modern rap sucks, and very few "classic" rap bands were noteworthy. ....I have very eclectic tastes. But anyway, this is a horrible, repetitive hip-hop album that masquerades as rock and roll. If you want this so-called "rap/rock" sound to be in your collection, go purchase Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy, The Beastie Boys, or Run DMC (the most former being the most aggresive, rock-eqsue of the four; also the only one I truly enjoy listening to). This is horrible folks. Don't buy it.
