As a kid, the guy scared the crap out of me...I always waited in baited anticipation for the shower scene from Pyscho to bust out.

For some reason, Mister Rogers has gotten pegged with an image of a creepy guy. But if you were a child who grew up watching his show, then you draw a blank with these comparisons. At least I do! When I was a child, he was the most wonderful man in the world to me-patient and kind. I always wished he was my grandfather instead of the crotchety mute I got stuck with. On the educational side, he stretched imaginations with the Land of Make Believe and taught many valuable lessons about sharing, caring and all that other good stuff.

As a kid I remember this show as being slightly boring, but I used to love the opera about the little kitten who wanted a star....and some of the characters (Daniel Tiger, Purple Panda) were very sweet and memorable, too.

One of children's TV's greatest. Mr. Rogers was a wonderful man and will truly be missed. We need many more people like Fred Rogers in this owrld.
