Barney may be the most annoying children's TV character ever invented. Barney got it's start when my little brother was still young enough to think it was great. Talk about torture. I'd want to watch TV, but my brother would be glued to the TV watching that obnoxious purple dinosaur.

barney is important for children because it teaches them manners. I know some kids that only watch dora and they are fucking rude. Plus they volenteer theemselfs for time outs. What is this would comeing to that the only desent show gets mocked. Kids need to have magination and fun or else we are training them to be robots that are and mean. Poeple need to learn the exfects of the their influence on children.

I think Barney is educational and lots of children like to watch it. They get to use their imagination. I know a few young children that should watch it because it teaches them manners and these kids are very rude and could use some manners. It a childrens t.v. show. What is wrong with Barney?? So it's been around for a long time, ok but so has Sesame Street. No, let our kids watch Dora, which I don't find educational at all, they teach them spanish and half of the words they use aren't even at all what there saying they are.

This dinosaur is never serious! It was at first better because there were older children, now it is geared towards toddlers with more fun than education. No parent would want to have this show on because it USED to teach safety, math and other stuff that is worthwhile, now it is just taking useless place on PBS. It has been on since 1992, don't you think it's too old? How come PBS is still keeping it on???

Nothing like a cerifiable purple, pedophilic, pleisasaur chasing your kid around the living room.

Barney & Friends taught things along the lines of values and teaching the basic differences between what's right and wrong. In regards to academics like reading, writing and math, this show had a zero value.

one of the most annoying damned shows for children i have ever seen. It was torture for an adult to watch. Not only was Barney annoying with that voice of his, so were those kids. Who could take their fake enthusiasum overacting and mugging to the cameras. UGGGGGGG. I am so glad my own kids had little interest in this awful kids show.

Is this still on? Do kids actually like this show? And do they actually learn anything from it?

Everyone loves to hate Barney but I watched him as a kid and I think his show was really sweet and had some good messages!
