"Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want" finds the Smiths the most relaxed and subdued than the band ever got. The song is essentially a quite prayer and has become one of the group's signature singles, notwithstanding its original release as a B-side. "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want" has been covered by Hootie & the Blowfish, the Dream Academy, and Muse.
