For this list. . .classic middle-of-the road.Before the Pesci fans crush me, one must admit - he's damn good and memorable here. But the picture could have survived without him. There were (really) two or three guys somewhere in the world who could have stepped in.Not that I'm bashing Joe here. . .he's damn good. But moderate on the deserved-Oscar list.

Pesci's protrayal of Tommy in Goodfellas was mesmerizing. He was one crazy gangsta. His What do you mean I'm funny soliloqy was simply incredible. Guess he got his just desserts in the end. Definitely deserving.
