YES..De Niro is a GREAT actor.

I'll have a few disagreements here - but this is a rock-solid five for me. I believed DeNiro as the young Vito every step of the way. I couldn't envision this film without DeNiro in this role.

Makes DeNiro's recent films more frustrating since many are trash.

Has to play the character of Don Corleone as a younger man in a style that seems credible when compared to Marlon Brando's older version of the old main. DeNiro nails the style and grace of the younger version and throws in a letter sex appeal.
