No finer actress ever graced the screen. Whether we are talking about beauty, charm, subdued humor or fiestiness, there were none greater. My favorite all time actress. She was the most beautiful. The only actress that John Wayne could not over power with his screen presence, and that's saying a lot. There is no one today that compares.

she should have won the academy award many times over... she is the most beautiful of all the actresses but more important the most talented

A classic actress, and a classic beauty, Irish or not. Doesn't really get the recognition she deserves, but definately tops my list of Irsh actresses.

O'Hara is a timeless classic. Last time I saw her on a TV interview she was already pushing 80 (if not already past thaty), and she still looked great, as well as being completely articulate and eloquent. I don't think I can imagine anyone else playing the female lead in The Quiet Man. Definitely the best.

She deserves an Oscar. A lifetime achievement award at the very least. Disappointed that Hollywood has completely ignored her all these years.

A good actress. I liked the fact that she played strong roles. her characters kept up with the men.A beautiful woman, she was in a lot of good movies. I liked her in Miracle on 34th street, The Parent Trap. etc.
