She is best known for her role as Jane opposite Johnny Weissmuller in a series of Tarzan movies produced between 1932 and 1942. She died on June 23, 1998 of a heart attack at the age of 87. She is the mother of actress Mia Farrow.

Another favorite. As a Tarzan fan, I think she was the best Jane, period, not even debatable. She owned the role of Jane as much as Johnny Weissmuellar owned Tarzan.
