I gave Clarins two stars because they are an all natural brand that is scientifically developed leading to a decent quality. However, like Lancome I tend to think their color palette is rather dated. I think of this as an older woman's cosmetics brand. I just do not think Clarins is worth its price.

Hi, I am new to using foundation. I have a dark complexion and I have avoided using foundation so far as I find it very hard to match my skin colour. Recently I have bought Clarins True Radiance foundation. It matches my skin colour. Since it has an illuminate effect, I am worried I will have a mask face (or a white face) on photos? Any comments? Thanks.

Clarins: their packaging is very plain, they don't advertise much, and they are expensive, so figure out why people buy them. They know something! Their products are loaded full of the best goodies for skin on the planet. Everything I've used from them - creams for face and body - gives me incredible, therapeutic-level results. I'm in my 40s, so there's no fooling me on that one.
I've done my homework and know about the shrewd tricks cosmetic companies use - today the worst offense is using lousy ingredients and adding a pinch of the latest "miracle". That's like adding a smidgen of caviar to cat food and calling it hors d'oeuves. Just turn the box around a take a good look, and you'll see Clarins contains generous doses of the rarest. I have no problem spending the money on Clarins because I know what I'm getting and what a lie the big price tag is on most others.

I absolutely love Clarins, as well as, Clarins products on a variety of wavelengths. Out of many cosmetic brands I have tried and used, Clarins never seems to really disappoint me at all. In fact, I have always been ultimately impressed with this amazingly fluent cosmetic brand. I have to admit, I am more attracted to their skincare more so than their makeup, but can appreciate many of their products. The fact they are universal, yet origin truly speaks volumes. With that stated, I am incredibly impressed with Clarins.

I finally decided to try Clarins after my friend told me how wonderful it was. Yes, they have nice make up, a bit expensive though. However, I tried their Tru Matte foundation. It covers so great in the morning and looks so smooth, but two hours later it was awful! It begins to run, you can't wear sunglasses, because they will take your foundation off of your nose, then it looks very heavy and the skin feels like it can't breathe! On top of that, I got such a terrible break out!!!!I have very picky skin, but never ever any product made me look this bad. So, all of you with sensitive skin-be careful. I am trying their Tru Radience now and it looks better and feels lighter. Their Instant Smooth stuff is really great though!

Their Multiactive day and night cream are quite strong. The first two days using them my skin look good, but after that my skin starts to feel sensitive. I take rest for a week and try again but the same results. I have normal to dry skin.

Clarins is pretty expensive, so I haven't used many of their products. However, I did splurge on their True Radiance foundation because it makes my skin look so much better. It is also very gentle and oil-free.
