Just switched from using mac to lancome! Its foundation is FANTASTIC!!!!! extremely lightweight and doesn't make me break out! Recieved alot of compliments when i made the switch :) Their mascarra and liquid eyeliner is so so but hey can't expect everything to be perfect right?!

I tend to think of Lancome as catering to older women. I have never really liked any of the products I have tried by Lancome. Their color palette is dated and most products have an antiquated rosy fragrance that might appeal to older clientele. Their lipstick does not last very long either.

I love Lancome products - - have used them for years. They are expensive, but I keep going back because nothing compares. Now I use the Reenergie antiwrinkle treatments and THEY WORK. I'm closer to 50 than 50 and you wouldn't know. They really are great. http://lipstickdaily.com/

LANCOME'S EXCELLENT! I have oily skin and you think using a foundation will just cake me up....but wrong! I've been using Color Ideal foundation with SPF15. It's a lightweight formula that never clogged up my pores and it stays put all day. It also comes with sun protection. Lancome's Aqua Fusion lotion with SPF15 is awesome. Lightweight, mildly fragrant, absorbs easily, and does not give any adverse reactions. I've read other people's comments on their mascaras and I htink they're not getting the best results because they're not using the right one of their lashes. My personal favorites are L'Extreme (lengthening), Hypnose (Volumizing), and Definicils Pro (Thick, fanlike effect), and mascaras are always best when used with Cils Boost Xl lash enhancing primer. It conditions and protects the lashes and adds length and fullness to lashes. Mascaras dont dry out as fast as other cheap brands. It really depends on the user. A quick tip: never pump the brush in the tube, just swirl it around to pick up the formula instead. Pumping the tube pumps air in the mascara which causes it to dry up faster. O gosh, Im a Lancome freak so I love all. I use all! Artliners are awesome also! When dry..they dont rubb off. I love them.

Expensive... but in some cases worth the extra money...

Practically all Lancome makup products irritated my skin, even the hypoallergenic ones for sensitive skin.

Lancome is excellent quality. L'Oreal does own Lancome so they do make similar products. However, Lancome is what is considered a luxury line. Think of it as Accura and Honda cars...the same thing holds true. Same company but different level of luxury. If you cannot afford Lancome then L'Oreal is a great alternative. I personally love Lancome. The foundation is perfect for me. Teint Idole. It lasts all day and keeps my skin from appearing shiny. My mother uses Renergie Lift...she has dry skin and this keeps her skin moisturized. I also cannot live without my Artliner. It's my favorite liquid eyeliner. : )

Lancome is truly an amazing cosmetic line that possesses an array of individual products that meet a variety of needs. I can appreciate everything from Lancome's individual makeup line to skincare, i.e. My absolute favorite Lancome product is definitely the Lancome L'Extreme Instant Extensions Mascara. I use this mascara in black and even though it doesn't have a dramatic effect, it makes my lashes look natural and healthy, but definitely shows a result as well. It is ultimate effective on a variety of wavelengths. Definitely one of my favorite mascaras and definitely ranks in the top 10-15 of the best mascaras I have ever tried in my life. I think Lancome is as universal and diverse as the individual who uses and appreciates it, therefore; I can state that I am not only a Lancome user, but a huge appreciater, as well.

I'm not impressed with their mascara.

I started using Lancome about 2 months ago, and have to say that their makeup is great. Aloegirl said that a group of companies supposedly use the exact same formulas as Lancome, if this is true then why do Lancome cosmetics, such as the foundation, stay on my skin all day, vanish into it, yet provide great coverage and never oil up my skin or need retouching? The cheaper brands I've used don't come close to Lancome. Also their eyeshadow has much more pigment than the cheaper brands, and stays put even when I splash my face with water and rub my eyes. The mascara is the best I've used, it makes my eyelashes longer and even provides the illusion of a curl! I know these cosmetics are expensive, but everyone deserves a little luxury when they finally start making enough money to do so!

I havent used the face make up of lancome, however their eye shadows are great especially the "off the rack" pink color. they also have an awesome eye base that works so well when u put it under your eye shadow it stays on all day long and makes it really beautiful looking. doent clump at all! i am very happy they made such a great product

I just started using Lancome, and I love it. It is quite expensive, and yes it is made by the same company that makes L'Oreal cosmetics, so L'Oreal is probably comparable. But honestly I love Lancome, and think they are better than L'Oreal. They seem to last longer, and the colors stay truer. The coverage is great. All around good product if you ask me, and if you don't want to pay full price, shop on ebay, there's tons of brand new Lancome products on ebay for alot cheaper than Lancome.com or the department store.

Here's the "Need to know" on cosmetics. They're a lot like clothes, mass produced in warehouses. And then labeled by their different companies. I happen to know that Lancome products are produced in the same manufacturing company and using the same formula's as items such as Avon, Aloette, and about a dozen other leeser expensive items found in drug stores. The same company also produces Channel items as well.
Why is that a big deal? Cause you're paying double the price for the exact same product, with a high end lable. Needless to say, I no longer buy from department stores.

I am becoming a big fan of Lancome. The colors are vibrant and sexy. They also have the best eye makeup remover I've ever used. One swipe and all the goop is gone. They frequently have gifts with purchase, and the ladies at the Lancome counter at my local Dillard's are very friendly and helpful.

Way too over priced for what they are. I'm a makeup junkie. I've tried everything!!! I've found better for much lessmoney

Lancome is the best makeup ever. I love to splurge on it when I can, it's worth the money. I always buy their lipstick, it's goes on so creamy & doesn't dry out. I always get compliments on their lipstick colors too!

they have some innovative ideas in this line but overall you are being taken for you dollar! The mascara is good but you don't get enough in one tube. This line is nothing special compard to other brands that target the same groups.
