Take A Chance On Me is yet another single that follows the standard ABBA formula of mellow and restrained verses which crescendo into an inescapable refrain. Released on the 1978 full-length effort Album, the track was one of the ABBA's most successful singles and remains a staple of those wishing to cover the group (eg J'Nae Fincannon, Waterloop, Erasure, and of course any ABBA tribute group at which you can shake a stick, like Abbacadabra). Take A Chance On Me charted in the U.S. for 14 weeks in 1978, peaking at #3.
