This is a film for the ages and deserves all the acclaim that it received. Vivian Leigh is absolutely marvelous for an English actress in her part. If you don't like history, and you are prejudiced against or don't like the American South, then you won't like this flick.

Well made melodrama. Absurd revisionist history portrays South in far too kind a light. Also Vivian Liegh was terrible. Some truly embarassing racist moments don't take away from the fact it is a well made, albeit overly long, movie.

Nothing special, certainly not worth a second look. Like Enkidu, I couldn't give a damn about this movie.
