Will and Grace was just a bad show. The characters who were supposed to be funny were just incredibly annoying.

Here is my measured opinion. This trash was just plain, unvarnished, unmitigated, unadulterated, BAD!

this show and it's supporters lobby for equality and protest homophobes when the show's mild success is completely attributed to the portrayal
 of the homosexual male sterotype.

I love this show!!! Homophobic people are probably the reason why it is on this list. Very smart and funny show.

For a sitcom this show was mildy entertaining,and had some funny moments,the first season or two were the best. But having said that,I can't imagine any gay people thinking that this show changed anyones preconcieved ideas about gay life..to the contrary it gave the anti gay folks  reasons to confirm why they did not agree with it to begin with. I mean Will and Grace' character was likable if somewhat shallow,and I'll even stretch it to say karen was funny,as a boozehound at times..but when jack came on screen I felt like hurling my tv set out the window. Human beings do not act like that. How many times did we have to hear jack call Will a fat ass?that is just one example. when anyone can see he was far from it,it did prepetuate gay stereotypes over and over and over. maybe I over analyzed this but it's what I think.

This show rocks! But you have to be in the NYC life at 1 time in your life to appreciate it. If not, it seems strange.

I don't care what anyone says. Will and Grace is fucking great! I love this show. Beats the ever-loving crap outta any reality show going.

Though I never go out of my way to watch the show it has had its funny moments when I have caught an episode here and there. It really doesn't fit in this list.

The show can be funny at times, storylines are pretty simple, four very shallow and pretentious people making catty comments at each other for a half hour. The argument that is stereotypes gay people doesn't really wash since almost all gays seem to love the show.

I don't watch it often, but I find it funny when I do.

The show is enjoyable. While it's not always great, and sometimes is cheesy, the actors are good and it does have it's memorable moments. Plus it's does have moments which are ratehr moving. Although not the best it is good.

Sorry, guys and gals, but I've spent half of my adult life, as a woman, living with and hanging out with gay men, although not nearly as ridiculously campy...well, MOST of them. Some of them, oh, well, so I do know ridiculously campy people in real life, and I value their effect on my mood and morale. I LIKE Will & Grace!

This program is to homosexuality what 'Arthur' (the Dudley Moore film) is to alcoholism. Some subjects, simply by virtue of what they are, are not comedy material. I've never watched an episode, but am familiar with the premise of it, just from what I've heard. Doesn't sound like anything that I would be interested in viewing.

(Wait. . .5 stars is worst right?) Anyways, this category is making me and the missus laugh. . .Personally, I think Will and Grace is awful because it perpetuates gay stereotypes. The voices, the over-acting, the cliches. . .just trash.

so what shows do u people consider to be good? because personally i absolutely love Will and Grace and find it to be hilarious. and so do thousands of other people, thus making it a really great show, and your list pretty stupid (and incorrect)

its just painfully bad to watch, its cheesy, really unfunny and plain crap comedy acting! i really dont care about the gayness in the show , i wouldnt care if every actor in the show was homosexual- i just think its really overrated as it is supposed to be a comedy and wheneva i laugh when i am watching it its definetely not for the right reasons!

The most unfunny comedy on TV...

I honestly do not know anyone who has ever said they liked or even watch the show. My wife is pretty open minded and she thought it was totally unfunny and stunk to high heaven. I can't imagine a single gay person who could relate or even appreciate how they are portrayed. It's sheer hyperbole. It seems to be trying to compete with Friends to see which show can be gayer than the other.

no way in hell this show should be on here. I'm not gay or anything but I really love that this show is taking a risk and talking about things most people wont talk about. If this show is so bad, why is it one of NBC's highest rated shows (before FREIENDS ended it was number 2 so I assume it took the #1 spot)?

Thinking about anal sex between two men makes me physically ill. This show makes a joke about it every 7 seconds. Ugh.

THE WORST SHOW ON TV!

Unlike 'Friends' 'Will and Grace is a funny and well acted show. And the Karen character is the funniest alcholic pill popping bitch in tv history.

I'm assuming that 5 is the worst, so it is actually fairly funny.

I don't like this show. I've seen it a few times because my roommate likes it, but I find it vaguely offensive. The gayness doesn't offend me, but the portrayals of gayness do. Gay people are seen as cute and quaint and materialistic, so as to make straight dudes feel less threatened I suppose. How many gay men actually watch this show? Do they think At last! A show about ME!? Or am I overthinking this? Maybe it's just a stupid sitcom that some people find amusing and others don't. I don't.

Ok, some people are getting mad because they assume the only reason I put this show on this list is because it has gay characters. Just to clear the air, I put it on here because I tried to think of the most overrated shows (as well as ones that have been suggested to me to be added). But I will say this; the only thing that gets people to even notice this show in the first place is its gay characters. Because other than that it's just a generic Friends.

sorry, but I like this show. I was not sure how I was supposed to rate this. so I wil give this a four to say I enjoy the show a lot. It is well written. has some talented actors. Yes it is daring and it had gay characters{does not bother me}it beats some of the other shows out there with lousy scripts and less talented actors.

To me, it's just Friends with gay characters, although I'd still rather watch Will & Grace than Friends.
