Back when this first came on I tried to watch it but couldn't get into it. As sappy as Gilligan was, I'd rather watch a marathon of it than waste my time on this trash.

And by the way, I can't stand marathons.

sorry...whadja say???...it's on right now  (on commerical...something about Olay Quench) and I love the show Survivor. hmmm...survivor...thats a great show. I have watched as many episodes as possible.

This series is just awful; however, the mentally challenged and semi-literates must have their shows also. I watched part of one episode of the first series. I was hearing all the hoopla and decided to see for myself. Here were three or four people standing on a beach with their hands on a post. The last one not to touch the post won that round! Gee, what survival talents would be demonstrated by this feat?

This is reality TV at its worst and I use the word reality loosely. Why would any one want to watch a bunch of people, who are desperate for attention, try to supposedly survive in harsh conditions. If you find this fascinating go watch the homeless they do it 52 weeks a year.

Survivor was a great show the first 4 or 5 seasons. Throughout 6, 7, and 8, it started to get old (with the one highlight of the all star edition.) 9 and 10 were just jokes. THey weren't great at all ,and they were really boring. I didn't really care who won, because it was basically already spelled out for you in season 10. I guess they must be doing something right though, because they're still getting good ratings.

Its reality tv but I have no problem watching people slowly starving themselves for money.

Though it's lost its edge over the years, it still more entertaining than just about anything out there. And though it has very little to offer in terms of socially redeeming value, at least it's an hour of life expended where you don't have to flick around for something to watch.

Survivor is one of the few shows I care to watch regularly, in fact I would say it's my favorite show right now. Like any show it's had it's ups and downs over the course of it's eight or nine installments, however many it's been. Africa was pretty boring, but they bounced back from that with a great season. They are pretty good at mixing things up to keep the players on their toes, and, or course, they get some pretty hot women too.

lukskywlkr described it perfectly. I watched a bit of the first season, and it took only five minutes to realize the people were acting like idiots. Real survival situations (or even 'pseudo-real') would be quite interesting to watch. Instead, we got this dreck that spawned the worst trend in TV programming since... OK, I can not think of another trend as bad, and there have been many, many really awful ones. Survivor has been called a 'game show', but that is an insult to even Let's Make A Deal.

My 8 year old cousin could win these competetions. Put these Sally's through Navy Seals training and they'll be kicked off the island in 1 hour.

Let's just say that all reality shows are awful and leave it at that.

Survivor is the most pointless trend ever. I don't care if a bunch of nobodies are living on an island and getting paid for it.

First of all this show sucks because well its one of a million crappy reality shows. Second it's not a true reality show, it's more like a game show, because their are two teams(tribes) challenges each week someone is voted off and at the end one lucky person wins a million dollars. If it was a reality show then one person would be thrown to one island with maybe a napsack with some essentials(water and some other stuff), he'd have to live off the land, build his own shelter, fire, etc. At the end he or she would have the promise their old job back, the fame and the pride that they survived.

Its still a very good show even though it has so much series.Plz,two more seasons and then call it quits because the challenges and everything are a bit boring now because they are usually always the same challenges as the other seasons.

This was the worst idea in television history. The sad thing is that this show is one of the most popular shows ever. I wish Survivor would just go away.

I can't stand this show and all reality shows. I think they're so awful. I would rather watch an entire marathon of Full House (my most hated scripted TV show) than watch a minute of any reality show garbage.
