the entire reason the comics and games were created do i need to say more

Sonic is kind of in the middle for me. I mean at times he can be a sweetie, and others, just kind of a jerk. But anyway, he is cool. I wish I could run as long and fast as him. I just don't want his attitude; no offence to him, or anything, he is COOL nonetheless.

Now don't get me wrong I loved playing the various sonic games back in my Master System days but I can't help but feel sonic is a bad icon for hedgehogs. I mean hedgehogs are peaceful creatures who curl up into a admittedly cute little ball whilst threatened and certainly cannot go very fast. Sonic is more an archetypal rebellious teenager who feels the need to say butt and egg-head a lot and be the hedgehog with attitude. What will all the young hedgehogs think when they see his reckless behaviour?
