Its 5 stars and 1 star at the same time. Here's the RUB.

5 stars: Well produced, strong personality, good conservative talk show and solid TV charisma.

1 star:  It's a conservative right-wing talk show and very bias, which I really don't have any problem with. The 1 star is for telling us it's "Fair and Balanced" and the "No Spin Zone" which is very untrue. The show should be called "The Conservative View!" It's simply a conservative talk show, saying it's anything else is just not true. It's to bad that they have to sneak under the wire to the less intellegent people of the US and "BS" them into believing it is Fair and Balanced.  Smart Conservatives ignore the Fair and Balance issue as a funny inside joke, Smart Libreals realize it's a brillant peice of marketing (which they have not been able to successfully repeat). Dumb Conservatives believe it IS Fair and Balanced and Dumb Liberals cry "Foul"

Regardless if you agree with him or not, the O'Reily Factor has it's own message and he delievers it well. To bad it's SPIN being sold as NO SPIN.

There's the man. Bill, as often as he is misunderstood, is one of the best interviewers of all times. He gets straight to the point, like it or not. Pulls no punches. Says it like it is. Love this man. Only the best and most interesting highlighted topics with both sides addressed. Awesome!

I love O'Really's current jihadic bombast concerning Jessica's Law. Twenty-five-year minimum sentences may satisfy a root-bound sense of retribution amidst a media-ripened public, but it's always the same knuckleknobs (like O'Really) who skip higgledy-piggledy into their limousines when the check arrives. A quarter-century stretch in the Big House will run $750,000.00 (assuming the operating costs of these facilities DON'T increase their conservatively-projected 17% a year) per inmate; so, taking the million-odd KNOWN sex offenders into account, that's 750 billion (that's with a "b", not an "m") dollars spent; fussing over the UNKNOWN sex offenders (who'll continue operating regardless) increases those numbers by an O'Really Factor of six (how many "No Spin Zone" mats would it take to make it all jive?). He might be looking out for your kids, but he sure isn't looking out for your pocketbook. Yes, Bill's standard rebuttal would go something like "hey, how can you put a price on a child's welfare?", to which I would say "funny the word 'welfare' should come up, as that's what everyone'll find themselves on trying to finance these reactionary proposals". Better, cost-effective systems can be put in place to alleviate these problems (you're NEVER gonna get rid of 'em, so buck up and unclench), but O'Really staples on the blinders and whispers "sweet nothings" into the ears of the choir. Stick to marketing ephemera, Bill; it's what your handlers do best.

Garbage. Bill O'Reilly is a loud bully who is anything but fair and balanced. Whenever he is criticised on his show, he simply shouts the caller down or threatens to turn off their mike. I heard one person say they want more Republican news shows, and "I don't care if all they did was preach Christian bias, and slander Canada all day." That person then went on to explain that this is the conservative point of view. If that is true, then conservatives everywhere should be cringing at how bad this makes the USA look in terms of the rest of the world's view. It is NOT a good image, no matter how arrogant we want to be. Because this is what the O'Reilly Factor and other Fox News shows are doing. Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and other conservatives lie and boast for hours on end, and their messages are hurting the American image as well as the intelligence of the people. Europeans and Canadians would be disgusted if they saw a single episode of these shows. And finally, why do we need more Republican news shows? Can anyone name a major liberal news show? (And I don't think The Daily Show counts.) The conservative Fox News channel dominates TV news, and still the Republicans moan about liberal dominance, even though they control the White House, the Supreme Court, and the Senate. That is nonsense. That is childish. That is propaganda.

O'Reilly can be a bit over the top at times, but I find his show to be highly informative. Many different topics are tackled, and the show is structured in a way that provides for smooth transition from one topic to another. My only complaint is that he sometimes spends too much time spewing his own views in the form of rhetorical questions that he doesn't want answered rather than actually asking the appropriate questions.

O'Reilly pretends to be an independant journalist. In reality, he's a right-wing spin doctor. This is a beautiful irony, because he's constantly selling his show as the spin free zone. It's so full of spin, it's hard to watch. A good percentage of the time, he trying to move merchandise for his show. He charges a premium on his website, and you must be a paying member to send him e-mail. That should tell you volumes about his over-inflated sense of self-importance. When O'Reilly is losing his argument, he frequently falls back on shouting down, and killing his opponent's microphone, so he can simply play the I got in the last word in game. His other trump card is to play the I'm a REAL American Patriot game, and then challenge the patriotism of anyone who disagrees with him, because, well, obviously, anyone who disagrees with O'Reilly must be unpatriotic. There's no other possibility, right?

Wow.... I mean, who does this guy think he is? I find it more sickening than flat out funny that he calls his show a no spin zone when he manages to throw out the word liberal as if it were derogitory in EVERY sentance. And some of the ideas in his head are down right scary, to think some of the things he says he actualy thinks. He suggested a few weeks ago that the American media should tell the people not to take vacations to Aruba to destroy their economy, until they found that girl from Alabama. I mean, I feel for that girl and her family of course, but we should destroy the economy of another country, just because one girl is missing? It is every single citizen of Aruba's fault that the girl is missing? That is simply ridiculous. And it makes me sick to my stomach, seriously.

Ever notice that he uses John Belushi's trick of manipulating that one eyebrow to convey a complex range of emotions- disdain, contempt, disbelief, superiority. To show disdain, he raises it just a fraction of an inch. To show disbelief, he raises it to nearly the upper perimeter of his forehead (which, given his increasing baldness, expands by the week). Like Belushi, this guy is an actor. Unlike Belushi, he's talentless.

I have had the great misfortune to see this show and its host, someone who is opinionated, mendacious, who in his comments is bigoted, biased, irresponsible and negligent of facts. He grossly contorts points put forward by guests whose comments he disagrees with and misrepresents the issues. I am surprised this is a news or political comments programme. It is appallingly propagandist, unobjective disrespectful, it pushes its agenda and even the questioning is loaded. This is not well-considered reporting and is of the worst kind I have ever seen. i

The show itself is pretty well formatted and organized. The fast pace of the program gets you very tuned in and make you listen more to what the guests and O'Reilly has to say. Many find the show bais but I don't really see how that's the case if it's always getting hate mail from extremists on both sides of the political spectrum. As for O'Reilly himself, his ego can get a little to big for his studio. UPDATE: Marie T. has probably done research work for the pathetic excuse of a documentary called Outfoxed which is ridled with out right LIES!! Shameful, just shameful!

After almost 11 months of watching The OReilly Factor and reporting on it for our blog, www.newshounds.us, I can only say that I wish you had a ZERO rating. The man is awful, belligerent, rude, smug and worst of all a hypocrite in so many ways. HE pretends to be everyman yet is worth roughly $60 million, earned by lying and distorting the truth. His millions of largely blue collar workers have been bamboozled into believing he's looking out for them when in fact he is only looking out for his own bottom line. He bloviates at great length about his love for the folks while laughing at them as he trots to the bank. And, only recently, we discovered that he's an adulterer who masquerades as a guardian of the public's morals. Gimme a break!

As long as you know that his show is news analysis, rife with opinions, arguments and confrontation, Bill delivers a great entertainment product. If you live in a large metro area or lean to the right, it's possible to like the Factor. Those who lean (and have almost fallen) left usually don't like his style because he shuts down the spin. Bill is NYC all the way, and FoxNews continues to soar in the all-important ratings game, assuring that their message can no longer be ignored. The me, too-ing has already begun. It's about time.

I first tuned into Bill during the 2000 election recount. I found him to be the only real source of accurate information at that time. All of the other networks were too busy covering their rears for their early and wrong calls on a Florida winner. The thing I like about O'Reilly best is that he just doesn't care where you stand politically. If what you say is true (independently verifiable) and clearly stated, they he'll let you speak. If you fill up the air with half-truths and partisan BS, he's shut you down. I don't always agree with him, but I always come away intellectually stimulated and challenged.

I saw this guy Bill O'Reilly covering the Democratic Convention (on FOX). I felt the airwaves are for the benefit of the public, and viewers have the right to hear their convention without O'Reilly, the Bush mouthpiece, moderating every move. This is like the fox moderating the chicken rights convention. Most viewers polled are worried about the war and about health care. We need to hear our advocates discussing these issues, not defending potshots from O'Reilly. The funny part is, he was asking why are the parties so polarized and saying I think it's the media. Half an hour later he was advertising a shouting match with Michael Moore. What a hypocrite. Turn him off.

You would never know he has one of the highest-rated talks shows on the air by coming into this forum. In fact, I can't even disagree with what a lot say about him. But I find myself intrigued by him even though he sometimes pisses me off and then five-seconds later can make me agree with what he has to say. He is mouthy but I don't think he is that quite influential of what society thinks of prolific people.

I've listened to O'Reilly many times, and it's hard for me to understand his popularity. He's often rude to his guests and will not let them finish answering his questions. I have to assume that O'Reilly is riding a wave of incivility on TV that started in the 80's with shows like Geraldo. It was probably inevitable that it would spread to public policy/current events shows as well. O'Reilly contradicts himself from show to show as he gives his opinion du jour to his audience. I think that many of his fans just like to watch him verbally beat up on people because they would like to do the same thing if they had the chance. However, what amazes me the most about O'Reilly is his odd combination of on-air arrogance and his overly sensitive nature to any criticism whatsoever. Sometimes he seems to have the confidence of a lion. And at other times, he seems to have the insecurity of an adolescent. I once listened to O'Reilly being interviewed by Terry Gross on NPR. It started with O'Reilly touting himself and his positions. But when Terry started asking some quesions that he should have anticipated, he became defensive and belligerent. The interview ended when O'Reilly stopped the interview in a fit while still on the air. What was even funnier is that he physically walked out of the studio while Terry Gross was still talking on the air. I wonder what he would say about someone who did that on his show!

Inside Edition moved to Fox News. I am not impressed. He starts more wars against countries than Dubya. He is at war with France (our Ally in Afghanistan) and now starting a war with Canada. He provokes no intellectual thought in the mind of the viewer but treats them as Enquirering minds about things nobody cares to know. Like having guests that attack the Girl Scouts. Pitiful.
