 | irishgit (146) 08/15/2008 | Three stars for real macaroni and cheese, which was the first dish I learned to cook after moving away from home.
One star for the packaged stuff, which tastes like yellow plastic melted over white plastic, and looks like the entrails of an alien life form.

 | georges11 (20) 08/15/2008 | The boxed mac and cheese resembles melted orange plastic. Tastes the same. Now a true macaroni casserole is a classic meal.(I think a mac and cheese sandwich with ketchup is very popular among our Canadian friends).

 | katana1979 (0) 08/25/2007 | a great way to have fresh mac n cheese is to go to your local deli and ask for any cheese ends they have. It is the ends of pretty much all of their cheese ends packaged up and normally sells for 60 cents per pound. It makes a great baked mac n cheese when you mix it all together with macaroni, butter, milk, and bread crumbs. No more boxed powder ans noodles!!

 | Underspin (24) 03/08/2006 | Perhaps the best cheap food ever, if you know how to make it right. Quick hint; instead of adding a 1/4 cup of milk as the directions normally state, add a SMALL dollop of sour cream instead.
If you got a little time and really want to impress someone, mix in some chopped onions, 1/2 a cup of cream of mushroom soup, a small amount of sour cream, butter, dry chedder cheese packet mix (from mac n cheese box) and sharp shredded chedder to al dente cooked macaroni. Mix and bake in a casserole dish for 20-25 or until lightly brown on top. Ok, who said guys couldn't cook??

 | RachaeLeigh (0) 02/08/2006 | Stouffer's has a microwavable macaroni and cheese tray that is AWESOME. It's in the frozen food section, and it comes in small sizes for 1 to 2 people, a large size for 3 or 4 people, and a family size. Plus, it's not too expensive. I highly recomment it.

 | Nerofilentes (0) 04/14/2004 | I'm assuming you mean the kraft pre-made variant. Mac'n cheese IS NOT food.
Powdery cheese and plastic macaroni, could it get any worse? I'd rate it a 2 if i'd be prepared with fresh cheese and mac. still no food Though.
