I have a soft spot for Presbyterians as I come from a Presbyterian background. I also judge this sect from history. Without the Presbyterians, we could never have defeated the British in the War of the American Revolution. No Presbyterians, no America! It's that simple.

The Most Anti-Semitic Christian Denom. there is next, to the UCC and ELCA. The PCUSA churches here in Omaha are a joke to a large extent cause most of them teach and preach watered down sermons and are more loyal to the leaders of the PCUSA than the what the bible teaches. When it comes to social issues, the PCUSA is either very liberal and or silent on social issues unless you are D. James Kennedy (who is a Presbyterian Preacher I have respect for)

I go to a Presbyterian church, and the people are open, nice, polite and very welcoming. They love God and Jesus, and strive to do as He commanded, to care for their fellow man. Like Jesus would do, they welcome all to their church and turn none away. I am a former Catholic, and want nothing more of that giant, department store, do nothing useful, make people feel guilty, subordinate women religion.

I actually grew up in the Presbyterian Church. I have attended many denominations. My parents go to a Presbyterian Church and I have attended with them. Many of them are saved. They do teach salvation by grace. I have sat in with pastors and leaders and deacons as they have taught Biblical principle. The Trinity of God, The inerrancy of Scripture, etc. Why are we dividing the Church of God. CS Lewis, in Screwtape, describes the Church as not the building or name or the person who sings off-key next to you, but the powerful collection of all who have called on the name of Jesus bearing banners against the Gates of Hell through all time. We need to be bonded in His love, not separated by doctrinal difference. It is essential to understand the Scriptures and to be consistent with them, to know the Power and Grace and Love of God. Presbyterian, Methodist, "Non-Denominational", Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, Episcopalean, Messianic Judaism, Pentecostal...Let's focus on Him.

Nice enough people, but really seemed lukewarm. Also, no evangelism, no outreach. I come from a Presbyterian background (Scottish) but found the church to be tepid, and nobody actually talked about Jesus. No Bible study offered.
