Yeah, I think of him as being a great songwriter, but not so much a guitarist. Didn't suck, but nothing spectacular

He even admited he was a slow lead guitarist but his contributions to the Beatles and even his own songs really made him stand out as one of the greats.

He was truly a rocking and hard-working guitarist. But did he or Eric Clapton play the lead part on When My Guitar Gently Weeps? Does anybody know? I sincerely admired his political position adopted in his later years.
