Also, a performer, specifically, a male performer, cannot be gay. That is totally POLITICALLY INCORRECT in the country music world.
I love the old-style country music much better, although I have enjoyed George Strait. I have many, many old c/w offerings by the likes of Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, Ray Price, Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, The Louvin Bros., and so on.

This one used to be so much better than it is now. In today's country music world, the awards always seem to go to the people who are the most obnoxious or are in the public eye the most. They don't honor excellence anymore, they honor the artists with the widest appeal, and that usually means the ones who are trying to develop a pop audience. Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, and many more are all ruining country music by watering down their music in an effort to sell even millions more cds. They aren't trying to make better music, they are trying to rake in the dough in any way possible.
