Alex Trebek is probably one of those people that I would normally find annoying on the street but since he's enclosed in my television, I don't find him annoying at all. He seems like a fairly regular guy too. I know on one episode, they had an 'ask Alex' segment and someone wanted to know what kind of car he drove....and it was your basic white pickup truck.

POMPOUS JERK! HIS PRONUNCIATION OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES IS LAUGHABLE. AND I HATE THE WAY HE LOOKS DONW HIS UNKNOWLEDGEABLE NOSE AT THE CONTESTANTS. KEN JENNINGS WAS THE ONLY CONTESTANT WHO PUT TREBEK IN HIS PLACE. WHERE ARE YOU ART FLEMING WHEN WE NEED YOU?

His serious character and his somewhat comical talks whenever he talks to the players off the game are the best when it comes to hosting Jeopardy! I did like his hosting on Concentration to show that he can't always be the inquizitor and wants to lighten up sometimes.

Alex Trebek was born to host Jeopardy. He's serious but can be witty and engaging when the situation calls for it. He's got a good smile and you can tell he means business, and is running a gameshow for the minds.

I think he's a very bright and intellegent man, and the right choice for Jeopardy.

He seems to be a class act.

He is an arrogant Jackass. My brother-in-law saw him at O'Hare Airport in Chicago. Mr. Trebeck was being held back from boarding the plane. His comment to the flights attendants was "Don't you know who I AM?" What an arrogant jackass.

Great game show host but he gets four stars (out of five) for acting so snooty onstage.

I thought it was funny when he actually got in a verbal fight over the validity of one of the answers wih a conestant. Eventually the judges sided with the contestant, but you could tell Trebek was really angry about it.

He'd probably be obnoxious to be around in real life, but he's the perfect host for a show like Jeopardy!. The way he loves to correct the contestants' pronunciation, does pretentious accents, and uses every chance to show off his knowledge makes him very funny to watch. He really wants the viewers at home to think he would know all this stuff even if he didn't have the answers given to him.... and who knows, maybe he would, but his behaviour makes him seem awfully insecure about his intelligence. Some of his attempts at intentional humour actually are funny, but about half the time his jokes are eye-rollers.

He's just fine on Jeopardy! except for his laughable attempts to sound highbrow when he gets to read foreign words, but mostly because of its tight format that doesn't allow him much time to ad-lib. A perfect example of what DOES happen when he has time to ad-lib was, unfortunately, Classic Concentration. The dude made the show impossible for me to enjoy, with his weak attempts at humor. Concentration is my all-time favorite game show, but Trebek's version frustrated the heck out of me. Alex... the name of the game is CONCENTRATION! SHUT UP!!!

DON'T YOU KNOW YOU I AM? The worst kind of celebrity.

Another one of the best. Lesser known for Classic Concentration (which holds my pick for best gameshow closing theme song), he's mainly known for being the host of Jeopardy! A good sense of humor and a good host! Keep up the good work!

He can be pompous but is great on Jeopardy and he did High Rollers and Wizard of Odds too.

Alex is the perfect host of Jeopardy! He brings the best quality to the show, and he's really funny.
