It was always about Randy, how much he got paid, whether he got his stats, the "Randy Ratio". Never about the team, never about winning.

He didn't even moon them, get the hell over it

This guy is a complete dirtball. He walks off the field in a tantrum the last game of the season, pulls his moon stunt, has repeatedly been late for meetings and practices, stated he plays when he feels like it, got in trouble with the law before college and ended up at Marshall, got arrested for assaulting a meter maid (though I can understand that frustration) and in total is the complete me athlete. He's probably the second be receiver in football but I would hate for my team- the Jets- to get him because he's such a dirtball.

What an ass. I got a laugh out of it at least. Stupid antics and wide receivers go hand in hand, people. Get over it and move on.

I was at a bar watching the game when Randy Moss little performance occurred. The next day, judging from what sportswriters had written, you would have to assume that all Randy Moss did was pretend to moon that crowd. That was NOT what I saw him do. Randy Moss PRETENDED to drop his pants and then PRETENDED to wipe his ass on the goal post! I don't care how cocky he is or how good of a player he is, it was one of the most vulger things I've ever seen a player do during a game.

I'll give him three for the off-field antics, but quite frankly, the on-field stuff doesn't bother me much at all. I though Joe Buck's over-sanctimonious verdict of disgusting regarding the moon-shot Moss pulled in the Green Bay game was not only over-kill but hypocritical given Buck's own penchant for self-promotion. It was certainly, as alpepper points out, a unique celebration, and Moss is certainly an immature individual, but he's way down the list of jerks here.

He may be making a strong case as biggest jackass in all of sports. Nothing he has done has been particularly heinous, but the quantity of immature acts is daunting. Mike Tice has no way of reeling him in, because 90% of the stuff Tice says at Press Conferences sounds like a juvenile delinquent with Tourette's Syndrome. I would have to say Moss wiping his ass on the Packer's goal post gets 0 for class, but a 10 for originality amongst End Zone celebrations. Can you imagine Vince Lombardi witnessing that. I could see 'ol Vince coming out of the grave and slapping Moss in the face. I predict Moss will one day pull down his pants, squat, and grow a tail on the Lambaeu Field 50 Yard Line.

I'd rate him a five, but living in South Dakota, where the Vikings rule, I can't bring myself to do that. Moss got kicked out of Florida State (how??? That place has low standards for football players as it is) and transferred to Marshall in his home state of West Virginia. He has been called a party animal, pot head (he has tested positive for marijuana) and simply a slacker I play when I want to. This guy is supremely talented, if he played hard all the time he could easily end up being the best receiver in NFL history - by far.

His actions, both good and bad, do all the talking for him. I wouldn't say he is a jerk as much as I would say he is immature.

If Moss is getting into this much trouble in Minnesota, can you imagine if he was in New York or Miami? Gotta love the story about him slowly pushing a cop for 20 yards with his SUV. Can you say above the law?
CanadaSucks 08/14/2003
A typical stat-hog wide reciever. It's always the coaches' fault, the policeman's fault, or the media's fault. Moss will never win a ring until he learns to play hard on every down.
