Knew practically nothing of John Daly until watching reruns of 'Whats My Line' (from the 1950's and 60's), on GSN in 2006-2007.  I only remembered Wally Bruner, and then later, Larry Blyden.  I became an instant fan of Daly, due largely to his friendly, welcoming demeanor and witty yet hokey repartee with panel regular Bennett Cerf.  A five star among many in the world of game show hosts.

His use of humor and the English language added much to "What's My Line." He was a stickler for the rules, yet maintained a kind and calm demeanor.
